For some reason, this is like comfort food for me. I especially like this restaurant. Reasonable prices, good portions. I get the combination pho, (i forget the number), but its delicious. Yes, there is MSG. There is no escaping that. But, everything in moderation, right? :)

There aren't many pho restaurant's on convoy, and this one is the closest one to the freeway, but it's a pretty okay place to eat. It's a huge place so you'll probably never have to wait, and they are always accommodating to large groups, so that is definitely a plus. The servings are normal-sized, to that of other pho restaurants.

Although there are quite a few vietnamese restaurants in the area, I always like to go to Pho Hoacali. Service is quick, and food comes very quickly too. Immediate after you enter the door, a waiter will notice you and lead you to a table. They give you the menus and comes back within a minute to take your order. It's funny though, sometimes they could be a little too quick. It feels like they are actually waiting for you rather than you waiting for them. I guess thats a good thing.

Looking for something relatively healthy, cheap and fast? this is the perfect place. There are a variety of vietnamese dishes, but the feature is their beef soup bowls. Made wih their own personal brewed broth, you can choose from a variation of items you want in your bowl. Also recommended is the eggrolls, which are quite yummy and are to be eaten wrapped in lettuce. The service at this place is fast! When you enter, a waiter immediately looks up and you raise signal them to let them know how many people you have in your group. They then point you to a table. Within seconds, a menu and water is placed before you. A minute later, they are usually there, ready to take your order. The food comes out fast too. They also offer a variety of unique drinks that you should try if you are feeling extra hungry.

Pho Hoacali Express is yet another tradition of my college years. You cannot beat the value of their tasty noodle combinations for their low prices. My biggest decision is always whether to choose chicken or shrimp to go with my noodles. A side order of spring rolls with peanut sauce is always a must.

Great food for a great price. The pho is my favorite, but they also serve a variety of cold noodle and rice dishes and exotic drinks. The spring rolls are refreshing and healthy, and the dipping sauce is da bomb. They are open every day until 9PM, except for Fridays and Saturdays (10PM), but I wish this place were open later.
