A great restaurant that offers dim sum! The restaurant is very popular, especially at lunch time, so it's best to get there right at opening to obtain a seat. They have a fairly large parking lot but because there are other businesses in the complex, it can get difficult to find parking during peak hours. Sometimes street parking is the last resort on a busy street.
Great food and perfect for a large party.

We enjoy going to Jasmine with a group of friend for Sunday morning Dim Sum. Very reasonable costs and friendly staff, though sometimes it's hard to tell what exactly some of the dishes are. They don't take reservations, so go early. Also, for Chinese New Year they have lion dance troups (dragons) come through the restaurant.

When you order the whole peking duck, they actually give you a little more than half -- keeping most of the good parts for themselves.
when they see you as poor college students, they dont give you the fruits and desserts at the end of the meal
also, they dont know their animals, for the year of the goat, they had put up horses

If you are looking for a cute brunch dim sum place, Jasmine is the best way to go in San Diego. While it is not as great as places located in Chinatown LA or SF, it is good enough if you are looking to satisfy your dim sum cravings in San Diego.
There is a large variety of food, dishes range from about $2-5 each.
For those of you who have no idea what dim sum is, it is a popular chinese breakfast/lunch thing that is served on weekends at most chinese restaurants, though some serve it during weekdays as well.
People come around with carts full of beautiful looking foods. a lot of different varieties of dumplings, desserts, etc. The dishes are small, and serve only about 3-4 people each. It is good to go with a large group of people and order a lot of different dishes.

This restaurant is great. It offers Chinese food with quality. And on the weekend, it has dim sum and it tastes really good. It always crowded during the weekend. THe price is a little bit more expensive than normal chinese food but it is totally worth it. Try making reservation if you have a large party or coming early is another option. You can even have your wedding or anniversary here.

Jasmine is probably the best Chinese restaurant in San Diego. The first time I went there was with my parents three years ago. We had the regular simple dishes such as chow mein and fried rice and even my dad who has a very picky palate agreed that it was good. The dim sum here is also great. Portions are pretty generous and there is plenty of seating and high ceilings everywhere. Jasmine also has this place near the back which I like to dub "Jasmine on the Side". There, you can order simple chow mein, chow fun, bbq pork, roast duck, and pastries for a fraction of the price. It's still just as good and the wait is much shorter.

Good Dim Sum foods but if you go during peak hours, expect to wait for a long time. The bill can really add up without you knowing though when ordering a lot of food. The food is not all that good for you. It doesn't look or sound good either but when you try it, its pretty good. The dessert is great!

I got sick when I ate here. First of all, their food is really greasy. Even the vegetables can give you a stomach ache. Secondly, I might just be picky about my seafood, but this place leaves something to be desired! My recommendation: go somewhere else, go anywhere else, just don't go here, unless you want to feel sick!
