Always a crowd. Definately due to the cheap prices and fast lunchtime service. The place looks a little tired inside, but it's clean enough. They will also do nice sushi party trays. Staff is friendly enough, though they move you through pretty quickly. Sake and a variety of beers are available. Parking is tough.

i love sushi deli 2, it is right in downtown san diego so you can always walk around the area before going there to eat. there are many types of rolls there and most of them are really delicious. however, my favorite thing to eat there is not their sushi, but their desert. i love their fried ice cream. i pretty much go there to eat that. parking is a little inconvenient though, i would usually park at the parking garage nearby and walk to sushi deli.

Don't let the name fool you. This is one of the best sushi places in all of San Diego.
The menu offers a huge variety of rolls including all your favorites but also a variety of exotic yummy roles you have never heard of.
This restaurant boasts unique rolls created by the chef's themselves, some even named after the sushi chefs.
This is a place for not only sushi lovers, but even though not so into sushi. It has a very fusion like feel, offering good quality food at a very reasonable price for all types of tastes.
I, myself, am not a huge sushi fan, but this is one of my all time favorite places to eat at.
Highly recommended is the crunchy roll and dynamite roll and also the Sake and beer drink special.
Also recommended is to go early and to not go in too large of a group. This place is extremely popular and often has a long wait. The bigger the group, the harder it is for them to accommodate your group at a reasonable time.
