When we first arrived in San Diego, we were not sure if we wanted to rent or own. The real estate market here is so crazy that it made the decision even harder. In effort to sort out our feelings about it, and get a general feeling for the market, we contacted a couple of real estate agents just to see what was out there.
We found Tim through a particular property listing that we were interested in. I contacted him, and he was very polite and straight-up. I was even more impressed when we met with him to see the property: he was laid-back, casual, not pushy, and really listened. He has been the first real estate agent that I have dealt with that has been very professional and not cheesy. By cheesy, I mean pushing the sale and glossing over information or details about the property. Instead he was overall honest and open. It was incredibly refreshing to work with him. He also recommended and provided us with names of trusted lenders and mortgage people if we needed any. Everytime he said he would follow through with something, he did. This is actually very rare in an agent, I've found. I mean, if you aren't looking at million dollar properties that is!
In the end, we decided the market here was not for us and we contacted Tim to let him know. He was very gracious about it, wished us well, and then did not continue to pester us like some other agents did. I was very impressed by his manner and would highly recommend his services.
