If you didn't know better, or were slovenly drunk, you might think this place was somewhere in the heart of Mexico. In other words, we are talking authentic Mexican cafe, not only when it comes to the food, which is excellent, but also to the general ambiance and overall feel of the place. The staff are exceptionally polite and make sure you are attended to right away. Being right by the beach in the middle of Pacific Beach also helps. There is a lot of fun things to do after you've loaded up on some great Mexican food at Fred's Cafe.

The food here is yummy! They have your typical PB type of food but it tastes better than many places. They have a cool salsa bar. They also have margaritas and beer. It is a fun place to hang out with your friends and meet new people. The atmosphere is very laid back and it is a good place to decompress after work or on a lazy sunday!
