This is the place for gardening. The prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly and willing to help you find the plant you want or even teach you how to take care the plant you bought. They also have a great collection of plant in their store, they even have those exotic plant in store. Definitely worth going here if you are a plant lover. The place itself is operated by the Andersen family.

I don't have a green thumb, per say, but, I have on occasion had the need to go to Walter Andersen's Nursery. They have rows and rows and rows of different types of flowers to be grown in pots or other planters or in flower beds. Walter's also has beginnings of shrubs and trees that one can plant and watch grow into areas of privacy or just splendid trees for nature. The nursery also has gardening tools, fertilizers, plant treatments for the gardeners. There also are supplies for all of the garden pests-- snails, slugs, moles and other rodents. There also is a wide variety of plant holders, plant supports, bird baths and other decoratory items to place in the garden to enhance it.

You can find all the plants and accessories you need at Walter Andersen's. If you are just starting off and aren’t quite sure what you are doing, they have a handful of master gardeners to assist. Prices are great for the quality you will get. Home Depot has some of the same stuff at cheaper prices but the quality inferior. I saved $10 buck on one plant going to HD after comparison shopping only to get home to one of the stalks had dead roots. Who wants to hassle with returning a plant? No problems with quality at Walter Andersen's.

There is everything you can ask for at this place for average prices. The place is huge and the best part is that it isn't even a guy chain like home depot or lowes. I would recommend this if you are in search of exotic flowers and such. I'm sure with the help of the great staff, you'll have no trouble finding what is perfect for your home.
