My husband bought me a new Engagement ring and Wedding band on our 10 year anniversary. We went in jeans and a t-shirt. When we walked in the door we were treated with professionalism, and respect. I got a beautiful setting. The salesperson spoke to us with professionalism, and didn't make us feel stupid for not knowing about specialty diamonds. I would highly recommend this place. I had many problems with this jewelry store in the past. They are big business and don't really care about the person. The diamond in my engagement ring was constantly getting knocked loose from its setting. After multiple trips to the store and leaving my ring for days at a time to get it fixed the only solution was to try a new setting. It had to be changed 3 times! I took the ring to another store for a second opinion only to find that it still wasn't set right and it will chip some day because of this. The manager gave me a hard time and assumed I was one of those customers that could never be satisfied. When you spend a huge amount of money on a piece of jewelry, esp. an engagement ring, you expect quality. Not the poor service I received. Find another place to buy your ring! By the way...the first two reviews were probably written by the Robbins Bros. staff. Disregard them.

We walked into one "engagement store", which is what Jonathan calls Robbins Brothers, and met Surlea. She was amazing with us. She took around to the various displays and watched with a keen eye the variances between our reactions. She then worked with Jonathan to build a diamond ring that she felt would meet my expectations and fit within his budget. She was amazingly professional and fun to work with. Then to top it all off, Jonathan who claims to be the "least romantic guy he knows" was aided by the staff on how to pull off his proposal. In fact, Surlea had to get on the phone with the local Starbuck's and convince them to write his proposal on the "rare and seasononal offerings" chalkboard for 30 minutes. It worked perfectly and I was quite surprised. Surlea and her staff made us feel at comfortable and trust we were making the right decision without shopping at another 3-5 shops. Thank you!!! We are living happily ever after!! BTW, check out the bathroom walls - men and women's!!! Pros: Surlea and the staff

I had a great experience when I went to RB. I knew what I wanted when I went in, I told them, they got the appropriate saleslady to show me what I needed. I got the ring at in my estimation, 20%-30% off retail. They also let me do an elaborate in store proposal reminiscent of Sweet Home Alabama with video cameras and my fiancee's whole family there to watch. We did Champagne, and all the festivities, including lights flashing and bells ringing. My fiancee will have that story to tell for the rest of her life thanks to the guys and gals at RB in Mission Valley San Diego.

The sales people here didn't really want to let me browse on my own. I did appreciate that they followed me around so I could check out any rings I wanted immediately, but at the same time it's a little overbearing. They were helpful in suggesting items similar to what I was looking at for more ideas. Overall good selection.
