I've stayed here about 3 times on various trips to San Diego and keep coming back. The most memorable time was when the duck came into our room and couldn't get out. Boy that was noisy and smelled after the present it left. Other than that, the setting is great, views are good, and it is comfortable. They have special events like singers from time to time and you can at least enjoy the sounds if you don't get tickets to the concerts.

My husband and I stayed at Humphrey's on our wedding night. The room was really nice - very large and felt pretty secluded even though it was in the middle of the property. My friend decorated the room just before we arrived with candles and rose petals so when we arrived we were totally overhelmed. Check-in was easy (even in a swishy wedding dress) and so was check-out. We only stayed that night and didn't utilize all of the amenities they have to offer, so I can't comment on that. My boss has stayed at the hotel after seeing concerts at Humphrey's and really enjoyed it as well. No complaints - plenty of accolades.

A great place to stay down by the water in San Diego. Not only do you have a fabulous hotel to stay in, during the summer they offer nightly concerts that are hugely popular with the San Diego crowd. If you stay a few nights at Humphrey's, you must walk the short distance across the street and eat at the famous Bali Hai restaurant. The restaurant has been in existence many years and it definitely a treat. You can't go wrong at Humphrey's or staying in San Diego.

If you're into polynesian then this is the place for you to stay or walk the grounds of. Upon arriving you'll be impressed with the architecture of the building itself and each room has a polynesian touch too. The pool area is magnificent and if you look closely you'll find tikis hidden within the foliage. Also on the hotel grounds you'll find a stage where, during the summer, concerts are given where some big name bands come and play. There is also a very nice restaurant on the grounds too. Definitely a hotel to stay at if not for a weekend then a special occasion.
