The decor and atmosphere are informal, but the "cozy" feeling and the phenomenal food on a cold (for SoCal) winter night was out of this world.

This is one of the best kept secrets in San Diego; an extraordinary restaurant in OB offering French cuisine. I always heard great reviews about this place. We finally visited the restaurant last week during their fall 3 course meal with wine pairing. It was delicious! From the appetizer to the dessert accompanied by a great port! The staff was very helpful and friendly. Two thumbs up!

Perhaps the best Thai food in San Diego? Tes, quite possibly. Be sure to start with the fresh veggie spring rolls - which are stunning!!! The curry dishese excellent, but my favorite is the yellow curry, with chicken, spicy level 7. Very popular location for lunch.

Just walk into El Indio and smell the food and you will be hooked. The chips are the best around. The rolled tacos are like no other, they are the best! I know people that come into town and go striaght to El Indio and also take some home with them.

I've been going to this venue off and on since the '80's when it was Casino Valadier. The restaurant itself hasn't changed much since then and it offers a very warm intimate ambiance. I have so many great memories of going there with my then- (boy)friend (now husband). We moved away from San Diego for a few years, but when we returned to San Diego we headed here and were not disappointed. The food is always good and the service is very attentive.
Cons: Parking is usually difficult.

I adore the Hillcrest/Mission Hills area. So it so nice for me to have found this place. A few years ago, I went with a group of people and really enjoyed the atmosphere, and the food was amazing.
Our waitress had a cute accent on top of everything else!
A few years later I took my husband and he loves it! Then we took his family, and they loved it!
I love the fish and chips. The fish has just the right amount of batter wrapped around the tasty white flaky fish inside. The chips are thick cut fries and seem more healthy that others!
AMAZING... I love it there.
Don't forget to visit the little "tea house" and gifty area next door!
Pros: Food!
Cons: Service is a little slow

Mr. Charlies is the best Chinese food around! We love the Sesame Chicken and the Salt and Pepper Chicken, the Sizzling Sea Bass is to die for. Charllie blends classic Chinese flavors and his French Culinary training into unique blends of flavors, cultures and wine pairings. Make sure to order pan fried dumplings and extra Charlie's sauce!

If you love Mexican food, but want to change it up a bit, this is a fantastic find with some great regional dishes. I've had a variety of dishes here and every one has actually made me stop to think about what they have put in it as the flavors are all so varied...beautiful moles, cream sauces, and the use of things like strawberries and pine nuts that you aren't going to find in your run of the mill Mexican Food restaurant. I've never had anything I didn't like. My only complaint is that I have to drive 20 miles to get to it...need one in North County!!

This is it. I don't know if we will ever find a place that can even touch this one. The area, in Seaport Village, on the bay, provides amazing views of the bay and Coronado Bridge. There is patio seating on the bay and the indoor seating still provides full views. The staff and ambience are certainly "Aloha" festive. The best part though is unknown until you receive your food. The food is amazing and that is probably an understatement. Value is exceptional. We will be back everytime we are in San Diego.
Pros: Service, Food, Ambience
Cons: Can get crowded
