While I usually go to the smaller First Korean Market because it is my personal tradition from college, the Zion Marketplace is another great place to find all your Korean grocery needs. The feel is more like a supermarket than a family owned business, but it is a much bigger store and therefore has a larger inventory. I particularly like their premade side dishes.

I love the selection, reading the labels, turning the corner and finding yet another amazing display. This is NOT Vons. They have a lot of organic products and produce. The prices for produce is sometimes cheaper than Henry's. The store is beautiful and they have the best baked goods. It is a little pricey but you're paying for quality food and produce so it's worth it! The staff is super nice and helpful! This store is clean and spacious and carries a very wide range of food (canned beans to imported cheeses). It's a great location in Hillcrest. Try it, you'll like it. .... and remember to park on the roof!

We enjoy shopping at Trader Joes for fun and unique food items that are also high quality. I am a huge fan of their wine selction and dairy items. The produce can be hit or miss. I don't like the fact that you have to buy it prepackaged. I usually end up with a bruised or bad veggie every other time. Florals and plants are always a good value. Lines can be long at times, but the efficient staff makes it go quickly.

Whenever you feel like a meal but aren't sure where to go, just head over to Taco Bell and I'm positive you won't be dissapointed. My favorite location in the area is the Mission Valley Taco Bell next to In-N-Out. My least favorite location is the Normal Heights Taco Bell on El Cajon Blvd next to CoCo's. (Can you say ghetttttooooo?) My first job was at a Taco Bell when I was 16, so I know there are no "weird" things they put in their food and there are no disgusting ways they prepare their food. The beans are real refried beans and the ground beef is good quality beef. They do a very good job as a restaurant to keep things clean, organized and friendly. I seriously love everything on the menu, but my favorites are the Taco Supreme, Nachos Supreme, Steak Quesadilla, Meximelt and Baja Chalupa. Taco Bell has been around since the 60's and will continue to grow, I'm sure. Even though I don't work there anymore, I definatley eat there and am always impressed with their service and quality of food. Taco Bells always love when you fill out comment cards, too. The employees are usually proud of the work they do.

I don't really shop much here, cause I don't really like the layout of the store. There;s something about the design and the location that makes me feel stuff here is not as fresh. I think other grocery chains beat out this one. Their workers are not as helpful and it seems like I cant find as many good deals as other stores. Thats just my opinion. thanks.

This fast food restaurant was just opening up in Mira Mesa sometime last year I think and I was so excited when I first heard about it. Everyone rushed to eat there, and it was a definite disappointment. Their chicken is okay, and some of their sides are decent, but it's not all it's hyped up to be. It;s even kind of expensive. I think i spent $20 for 2 people there last time.

As American as Chinese Food gets. Very Americanized Chinese food. Mostly popular because of their orange chicken, which I have to admit, is delicious to say the least. The price is steep, but you get a lot of food, so either come hungry or come with a friend. Good quality too. The average meal will be about $6-7, which in my opinion is a lot for fast food.

This store is a treat to shop in. Easy to manuver, and a nice selection of organic produce. Their selection of health and beauty items is also great. Staff is helpful, and the deli ROCKS! The parking lot is usually crowded and touch to manuver, however, the shoppers are curteous, so there is no parking lot road rage :)

The Mitsuwa Marketplace is located in Kearny Mesa and has quite a bit of parking. The market carries a large selection of Japanese food products. Most are hard to figure out what they are unless you know. There is a little take out sushi place where you can get prepacked rolls, inari, endamamae and other snack items. There is also a noodle shop in the Market, but I have not tried that.
