You walk into this restaurant and you walk past the kitchen and are able to see the employees making food. There is little space to sit and eat there, a couple bar-type tables outside and about four regular tables inside. When ordering you are able to choose from the pizza recipes they have (medditeranean, thai, mexican, barbeque, etc.) or you can create your own starting with the crust, sauce, and ending with the toppings (ranging from pepperoni to artichoke hearts). If you are looking for something quick during lunch you can opt for a meal plan and get a salad, slice of pizza, and a drink. There are also sandwiches and calzones for those who want to try something other than pizza.
PROS: Great Selection
CONS: Not a lot of room to enjoy food there, better for take-out orders.

This is a great restaurant located in old town. With indoor/outdoor dining and a great menu with lots of items to choose from. The seafood and appetizers are great. I highly recommend this restaurant.

While I usually go to the smaller First Korean Market because it is my personal tradition from college, the Zion Marketplace is another great place to find all your Korean grocery needs. The feel is more like a supermarket than a family owned business, but it is a much bigger store and therefore has a larger inventory. I particularly like their premade side dishes.

We dined outside, service was quick. Appetizers and entree's were great. They have very good size portions. Good atmosphere, really good value for the price. They have live music (we were there on a thursday). Try it versus some of the more crowded places in Little Italy.

Thank you! We were four adults and three small kids in town from Santa Barbara and Houston to do the Sea World, Legoland, etc tour. We all eat Japanese food frequently and Zensei was a real find: excellent food, broad menu, incredibly friendly and thoughtful service, reasonable prices, and mellow ambiance. If we lived in San Diego, Zensei would be our regular weekly Japanese fix.
Pros: Varied menu and delicious food, very friendly service
Cons: TV on all the time

I will admit that I was very sceptical of trying Sushi altogether let alone in a night club environment. However I was very pleasantly surprised witht he presentation and the attention to detail. It was very good and I would recommend this to any sushi lover. In fact whenever I pass it I mention how good the food is.

I’ve gone to this cafe since its inception, and it has only gotten better and better. The vibe is friendly, the workers are pleasant and fast, and the food is very good, especially since they’ve been baking their own desserts. The bread pudding is to die for, as are the coffee milkshakes: the Zanzibana is out of sight (simply bananas, ice cream, and espresso I believe). While they discourage too many students just drinking coffee and studying, since it’s a restaurant now, more have been going there for a great lunch and taking their time working while they eat, which the owner supports, and there is never any attitude coming from the staff--quite the contrary, they’re very accommodating to every client. This is and has been the best cafe in Pacific Beach for as long as I can remember!
Pros: consistent great food and service, great ambience
Cons: sometimes the food takes a while, but worth it

We love going to this restaurant. We have had family get togethers and romantic date nights here and we love it. Either in the back patio or inside the restaurant the atmosphere is great. Love the black olives and the octopus salad. We have had just about all the pasta plates and would reccomend them all.
