5th Avenue Books is really cool because they sell both new and used books at great prices! It's really fun to browse through all their titles. You can buy books here much cheaper than at Borders or Barnes and Noble and it's nice to support local businesses instead of big chains. Anyway, if you find yourself downtown, stop by the store one time. I guarantee you will be hooked!

I love this book store. They have a wide selection to choose from, and everything is very organized and easy to locate. The cashiers are helpful when I am searching for y selections. I also like the fact that they have very low prices. If you are looking for a book, stop in and see if they have what you want.

I grew tired of spending my money at the campus book store, so I came here, and was very pleased with my experience. They have never been missing a text I need, and often have the readers by professors since they don't like the SDSUBookstore either! Competitvely priced below the bookstore, and they will buy your books back at more than the SDSU bookstore as well.

I was looking for childhood books, and all the other bookstores didn't have it and/or sold it too expensively. I think it was fate that day when I stepped into this store. It's filled with lots and lots of books, and even though it looks messy...it's actually organized! The employees know where each and every book is so I didn't really look through any books. I asked this lady if they had this copy and she pulled it out for me-- it was The Stinky Cheese Man.
Then I asked her how much it was and she said it was 50% off its retail price. How great! I ended up buying 10 books that day. They have some really rare books as well as new ones. They sell used books, but only take the good condition ones.

Then look no further. A fun place to go with your honey, your friends, or your parents just to shock them. They have a wide variety of everything you could imagine...and then some. Also lots of "gag" gift ideas all around. Just look out for the guys that are in the back watching their private videos. They can sometimes be on the creepy side.

Mysteries, romance, Sci-fi... pretty much all the great genres with a twist of womanism sprinkled in. This is a great little bookstore specially for the female reading enthusiast. They have a pretty decent selection of both new and used books covering pretty much most of the big names on the market. The prices are average, but they do have a very good bargain books section with a pretty large selection. I was able to find the entire collection of one of my favorite fantasy epics, and I snatched them all up at once without thinking twice. Overall, I give Betty's Bookstore a thumbs up for their great selection and reasonable prices.

My first impression of this Barnes and Noble in Mira Mesa was that it was pretty big. I was also quite impressed with the late store hours. They close at 11 pm daily.
PROS: Friendly customer service representatives walk you to the section you are 4
CONS: Sometimes customer service reps are hard to find.

I was in search of something Specific and had been to 2 bookstores already. So I decided To make some calls. I called Bookstar and a very friendly person answered the phone and went out of his way to find exactly what i wanted. I never felt like he was rushing to get me off of the phone. He was very pleasant, so was the other person he questioned that was working with him. They took the time to give me all the attention I wanted then Held my book for me till i could go and pick it up!
