If you're getting a little tired of the Starbucks multinationalistic "take over the world" coffee shop, then check out this little neighborhood coffee and tea shop for a delightful experience. They serve a variety of different boba flavors, my favorites are the Taro Snowbubble and the Mocha Snowbubble. If you're hungry, then you should definitely try out their spicy fried chicken and rice; this is a healthy portion and comes with steamed vegetables. They stay open pretty late so you can hang out. Overall, I like this place a lot and recommend it to all my friends for a great hangout joint.

If you've never had Boba, then the first sip you take, you are in for a surprise. Tapioca for those who don’t know is a Jell-O like starch that they form into balls and put into fruit, coffee and chocolate drinks. They are served chilled with ice and are quite refreshing.

I would say that Tapioca Express is a good place to get a variety of different boba flavors, but it isn't spectacular. Being the predictable person that I am, I usually order the Taro Snowbubble or the Mocha Snowbubble which are both fairly tasty choices. The Snowbubble is a mixture of blended ice and milk along with your selected flavor and boba balls. It usually depends on the location, but the boba balls are okay. I love the colorful straws and the relaxed atmosphere where you can just chill out with some friends. Overall, not too bad.

There is nothing special about the drinks menu, you would expect here what you expect at any tapioca place. However, I do recommend going there for their spicy fried chicken with rice. The rice is topped with a minced pork mixture and comes with a good proportion of chicken and steamed vegetables. This tapioca place is also opened late so it is a good hangout place for people who like to stay out late.
