This is the place to be if you don't want to spend a whole lot like you would normally do in Downtown. I love this place, Fridays and Saturdays are awesome. The music is really good, you got your old school hip hop, a little rap and your funk. This place is chill did I mention the drinks are cheap and there is a $5.00 cover charge after 10pm. Bar Dynamite is a little small but the people are great the music is the bomb and every one has a great time, so if you like old school beats and don't want to deal with the long lines in downtown and the expensive drinks make sure to check out Bar D

The food here is yummy! They have your typical PB type of food but it tastes better than many places. They have a cool salsa bar. They also have margaritas and beer. It is a fun place to hang out with your friends and meet new people.
The atmosphere is very laid back and it is a good place to decompress after work or on a lazy sunday!

This place is always packed... mainly because it's so small. If one of your favorite bands is going to play here, you're guaranteed you'll see what the band members actually look like. The Casbah also has a pool table (in a separate room) and a bar right next to the stage. So drink up while swaying to your favorite song.

Downtown Johnny Brown's is a bar and restaurant. The food is okay. On Thursdays there is a happy hour where they serve Long Island Iced Teas for a very reasonable price. Johnny Brown is a nice guy and you can flip for drinks with him. Be forewarned that if you lose, you pay and he picks the drink, which is usually Jaegermeister.

This place would be considered a dive in most places but some great musical acts have performed here over the years. Weekly they have different bands playing from every genre. They advertize heavily in the college newspapers along with the Reader so you always know what's happening during the month.
HOB is a good place to go every once in awhile to unwind and just have a good time. Prices are very fair and you'll definitely never forget the evening.

Think you know the best burger place in town? Well, this unsuspecting bar off the beaten path in Pacific Beach is by far the best in San Diego. The only thing on the menu (which is actually a chalk board behind the bar) are burgers and fries. This is a local hangout for the old salties of PB. With sports always on the televisions, and the same two bartenders always working, it is a consistent treat for the burger lover. Be prepared to wait for you burger, it is made to order. Cash only at this establishment.

The Library is the BEST bar on mission gorge. 5 regulation pool tables, and full bar. Juke box with amazing selection, if they don't have what you want it can be downloaded! Free pool on Sundays and happy hour snacks daily. Pool league nights it can get a bit tight, after 10pm you will have no problem getting a table. What I like about this place it that it is clean! Nicely laid out, sports memorabilia of all sorts on all the walls. Fosse ball and darts also available. You will love this place.
