I recently stopped by Bond Auto to have my car repaired and I was ignored by the rude office staff. I left my car and they never called to tell me what was wrong. They said it would be done by 5pm when I arrived they had not even started it. The blame was put on the mechanics but the paper work was still in the office. They are very unorganized and rude. I think they forgot about my car and then blamed it on the technicians to not make me think they are stupid. I would not go back even for free repair to get treated like that.

I highly recommend Bond's Automotive. They know what they are doing and are very honest. I just took my Toyota Corolla into their shop because it would not start. They informed me that my car's computer was not working and therefore could not pass the message to get gas to the fuel pump, among other things. The owner Mike Bond then looked up my vin# and found that this particular part had an extended warranty through the Toyota dealership. The warranty covered everything! Even the towing bill! They referred me to the nearest Toyota dealership instead of charging me to do the work themselves. If these guys were not honest, I would have been out over a thousand dollars! Instead, it is all taken care of on Toyota's dime! I am a woman who knows very little about the mechanics of an engine and would have made an easy target. I really appreciate & highly recommend Bond's Automotive.

I supposed they are good, but its ok ! nutin special, not bad either. they just repaired my power steering hose, was originally estimated cost 900 at the other Auto service, and i called bonds they said they can fix it for 600, then i drove my car there and it cost me 780. I was expecting to save 300, but it didnt happen. And i had my engine light on when i turn the car in and when i pick it up, it still on, they dont even do effor to see whats happening with it, all they do just repaired the service that i paid for. Oh well, auto service are the same everywhere, they like to make money. I supposed Bonds not that bad, tho i am sure they wont fix ur car if they dont make money of it. Just dont forget to save money for auto service expenses :) merry christmas !

If a woman trusts a mechanic you know that's the place to go. I've been going to Bond's for years now and I'm always well taken care of. I know I can trust in their expertise and that I won't be ripped off. Scott is Dr. Toyota. He does the job right in less time. I took my car in thinking I had a minor leak, but it's an 11 year old car and it had normal old seals that needed replacing. It was a mess - they showed me. They fixed it - right - and the thing runs like a bullet! If my little convertible Celica could talk, it would have told me today how good it feels and it just wanted to go out and play (in traffic). Thanks Mike - and Scott! This is the place!

About a year ago my car had an oil leak . A very well known garage was not able to fix it for me because I have a 1987 Honda(an old and foreign car),they recommended Bond's automotive. Michael was very helpful and changed the oil gasket ,did a few other things that needed to be fixed and ,as the previous reviewer said, came up with a price lower than he first quoted me.I never had a problem again with an oil leak. As anyone would know with an old car things just deteriorate here and there. This week I had a problem with my brake lights. They would not turn off and was draining my car battery. I called at 7 am this morning and Michael was already at work,he said to come in but that they were going to be very busy . But as soon as I got in he figured out right away where the problem was(the brake light switch was worn out). He ordered the new part I needed and I got my car back this afternoon .And he charged me less than he first quoted again. Thank you Michael,I know I can trust my car in your hands.

My wife and I have been going to Bond's for the last 8 years or so. Their service is absolutely the best I have ever encountered. Mike is friendly, knowledgable, and is also very good at explaining complex automotive issues to the non-mechanically inclined. His staff is also very professional. I have never had to bring any of my vehicles (4 different vehicles over the last 8+ years) back to his shop after a repair.
They always use genuine manufacturer parts whenever possible. Their prices are very reasonable. Often the final price turns out to be lower than the original estimate because Mike found a way to reduce the cost for me. They are able to handle most any mechanical issue as they have a large garage and diverse array of staff and equipment. This business has grown quite a bit from when I first found out about them. They used to be in a small, cramped converted gas station in La Mesa. Now they have a much larger facility on El Cajon Blvd. This growth is a sign of their success brought about by their consistent ability to please their customers.
PROS: Best service in town.
CONS: Garage is very busy so sometimes you need to make an appointment.

I first went to Bond's Automotive because I was referred to it by my Mom. I usually don't like dealing with things relating to cars, because when I think something is wrong with my car, it turns out that five more things are wrong with my car.
At Bond's Automotive you are going to find a group of people that are highly skilled, and highly capable of fixing anything with your car...and even if they find those five more things wrong with your car, you will never feel pressured to buy into those extra things. I always feel comfortable taking my car to Bond's. I know that what needs to be done gets done, and they will suggest things that need to be repaired in the future...But without pressure!
