This is the worst apartment complex in San Diego. The administrative staff is rude, condescending, and unhelpful. The maintenance staff is also poor. They are wasteful and lack decent landscaping skills. My bathroom sink overflowed with sewer water contaminating the entire bathroom. The cabinets smell of sewer and yet the apartment people will not replace the cabinet. You are paying an outrageous amount for weak services. The complex is 20 years old, with 20 year old appliances and fixers. It is so inefficient. It is freezing in the winter and scorching in the summer because the insulation is inexistent. The dials on the stove have been worn down, so you cannot read the dials. The windows are thin and there is an open space where a trash compactor once was. It is not a sound structure either. You can hear through the walls. There is always a pounding/stomping sound as a result of the movement of tenants in the above apartment. If you want to go to sleep at a reasonable hour, it is sometimes difficult because of the loud noises from other tenants. I hate this apartment complex so much. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It has been such a disappointment. DONT LIVE HERE!

When I first moved to San Diego, this was my first apartment. Sure it's not as new and glamorous as pretty much all the other apartment complexes in University Town Center, but then again that was the main appeal to me. I wanted to live in a low key place close to where all the action was in UTC; you're walking distance to 4 major shopping centers and malls on all four sides, two blockbusters, two dozen or so restuarants and delis, several starbucks, 3 bookstores, 2 theaters, and a whole lot more. And, of course, another major bonus is you can find a one bedroom or studio apartment for a lot less compared to the other complexes in the same area. I love this place, and will cherish the memories forever.

My roommate and I shared a two bedroom apartment at La Jolla International Gardens, and for the most part we had a great experience. Our apartment had two large rooms, each with their own bathroom, and spacious common living area. The leasing office personnel were friendly and helpful, and maintenance requests were always attended to quickly. A community car wash station was a handy bonus for living there. The main negative points were a very small kitchen and annoying speed bumps.
