I brought in a healthy cat, and left with nothing. The vetrinarian "accidently" gave my kitten surgery when she was only supposed to have a vaccination. She died in the process. I cannot believe that this kind of neglect can occur in such a civilized society. The vet not only refused to apologize but stated that because my cat was an older cat, she would have died soon anyways.

The clinic is now on clairemont mesa boulevard. And it is just as bad as described in the other review here. The veterinarian would not answer my questions, was snappy whenever I said any comments, and even refused to do an exam on my cat because my cat hissed at her. She said I had to pay for the exam anyways, though, because she "tried". Then I was told that I could have her brought in and put under general anesthesia if I wanted to have the exam done. Imagine it: a veterinarian who is so afraid of being scratched that she has to put a cat to sleep in order to do a simple exam. A horrible horrible place and I would rather literally die than to ever take my cat back there. I have other complaints agains them, but seriously, aren''t poor reviews from two victims enough?

I am giving this review in the hope it will save others from the ‘nightmare’ ordeal I went through as a result of putting my trust in the Cheshire Cat Clinic, Pacific Beach. I would like to spare others the pain of losing a pet through vet negligence. My cat was not given the proper medical attention she so obviously needed, the thorough examinations I repeatedly asked Dr. Middleton to do, were not given. I sought the opinion of two other vets who having reviewed the medical records were unanimous, and directly informed me that in their opinion, due to Dr. Middleton’s negligence in not thoroughly investigating the symptoms I repeatedly informed her about concerning Bailey; she failed to act and do the necessary explorative tests to find out what could be causing those symptoms. One said the x-rays were “disgraceful,” that in his 30 years as a veterinarian, he had never seen such poor quality x-rays. Her lack of medical care and judgment towards my cat was disgusting and wholly unprofessional. If it had not been for the complete trust I had in this vet, I believe Bailey would still be alive today. I would not want any pet to go through what Bailey did due to negligence or any owner who loves their pet as much as I adored Bailey to go through the heartache.

I would like to spare anyone the grief I experienced due to vet negligence of Dr. Ann Middleton of the Cheshire Cat Clinic. Her lack of medical care and judgment concerning my pet was disgusting and wholly unprofessional. I am thankful that I sought the expert opinion of two excellent vets afterwards who having reviewed all of my beloved cats medical records, told me that the Lymphoma should "definitely" have been discovered much sooner given the shortness of intervals which I brought her to see Dr. Middleton. They actually said the quality of the X- rays taken by the Cheshire Cat Clinic were "disgraceful." If it had not been for the complete trust I had in Dr. Ann Middleton, I believe that my Bailey would have stood a very good chance of more quality time. I would not want any pet to go through what Bailey did due to negligence or any owner who loves their pet as much as I loved Bailey to go through the heartache…I’d like to make people aware so hopefully they will get the professional, expert care they need and expect.
