My grandfather was on hospice and was becoming very difficult to handle. Our family was totally stressed. The hospice agency recommended Griswold for some extra home care. We ended us scheduling 12 hours of care per day through Griswold with our family taking the other 12 hours. What a relief! They provided us the break we needed as we were able to take some comfort in being with my grandfather rather than battling him.

My mother moved in with me and my family in San Antonio due to her condition. I have looked for a company that I can call on without much notice to give me a break when I need to go on an appointment or my husband and I go out of town for a few days. This has been a very difficult search but we have been very happy with Griswold Special Care's service so far. We have used them on about 4 different occasions and they have always come through, even when I didn't provide much notice. The only comment I have is I wish we could have the same person come each time but they told me it would be difficult to get the same person when I only need their service on occasion; maybe I am expecting too much. Otherwise a definite recommend!

My mother had been living with us but was pretty independent then one day she couldn't hardly do anything without assistance. My husband and I couldn't afford to miss any more days of work so we started calling agencies. Griswold was the only one that could come out that day and start the next. So far we've been happy with their services and would recommend them.
