This is a great school to send your child too. It was one of my top choices to put my child in. However, there is a long waiting list. I am a former elementary school teacher, academically, they were great for my children. They focus on the individual child. The Acorn also has great teacher-student ratio

I can not praise this school enough. It exceeded every notion I could ever imagine about a school. When I was studying to get my degree in Early Childhood Development I viewed many schools. Most were not ones I would be able to recommend but this school, Acorn, is wonderful. I was there several times observing the students and loved what I saw. I would have no qualms in sending my children to this school. They have a wonderful philosophy that kindergarten should just be half a day. They devote a whole room to themed play. Every month they change it out. When I was there it was a camping theme with tents, camp fire (fake), and all the fun things you need on a camping trip. Also their long waiting list gives credence to the fact that they are an excellent school!

All my children attended The Acorn and they absolutely loved it! The teachers and directors are always so positive, caring, and loving to all! Our children were exposed to so much "real-life" hands- on experiences. The children have so many things to explore at this preschool and have ever changing things to explore and play with. I feel they have the best early childhood program in town. I like that our children are allowed to be creative and use their imaginations everyday. Love it, love it, love it!

My niece just started going there and it has helped her in her ever day life. And she loves getting ready for school. She will be 4 in March of 2003. When she first started attending the Acorn, she was afraid of playing with the other children in her class. The teachers there have made her feel like a part of the class and she is a much happier child because of the help.
