Shafer Services is okay in my book. They do good work and that's saying something coming from me...someone who isn't the easiest to please. I'm always looking to save a nickel or dime and yet while that doesn't typically happen with Shafer there is something to be said for doing it right the first time and making it right afterwards if it's not. I like Jimmy Shafer at least over the phone because he explains things in a way that makes sense and is easily understood. His workers are well mannered and well dressed and seem to know what they are doing; however, that isn't always true of some folks used to put back an attic ladder, replace trim and paint when sytem installed was too big to fit the opening. But a quick phone call was all it took to get it done in an acceptable manner. So all and all on a scale of 1 to 5 with 1 lousy and 5 being the best, I rate Shafer a 4.99, and if I ever wone that dinner for two drawing of course then it would be a 5. Excuse any typos

I began having problems with a new HVAC/AC systems only a few months after purchase. The AC just stopped cooling. Shafer fixed it a couple times and it would work for a while. Finally on the Thursday before a three-day holiday it blew and wouldn’t stay fixed. Over the next four days, Shafer put in countless hours trying to solve the problem. Greg, Tom, and Steve were relentless. Finally, Steve found the culprit: a loose wire to the outside condenser. Their dogged pursuit of a tough problem was expert and well reasoned. They kept us informed throughout the process and maintained their senses of humor. Once again Shafer saved the day.

Have used Shafer Services since my Rinnai water heater needed some attention. Have since asked them to do the spring and fall checks. Also, they fix on of my commodes. Every service was professional and done right. The service men are knowledgable, courteous, and on time. Their phone ahead that they are one their way is very helpful. I always tell my frineds about Shafer Services and recommend them if they have a plumbing, heating or A/C problem.
