Lanponi is a great place to get yummy Thai food. The atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired, but the food and service make up for it. It is reasonably priced as well! The bad news is that there seems to be some inconsistency in how spicy the dishes are. The last time I went there, we ordered level 2 (out of 5) and it was way too spicy. I know we've previously ordered level 3 that was less spicy.

Lanponi is pretty darn good. I'm pretty sure it's the former owner (chef?) from Tommy Thai in Kirkland's Rose Hill area (which I used to always go to), so I was glad to see these guys open up on the plateau. The Mongolian Chicken and Mongolian Beef are some of my favorites.

Finally! Quality service, Asian fare, and convenience in Sammamish. Boy, do they love to see new faces. Attentive in the dining room and at the register, this establishment hopes you will return. I've missed the loss of the sushi restaurant in the Sammamish Highlands plaza, but I am most pleased with the introduction of a Thai option into our immediate area. Conveniently located, the restaurant provides dining as well as take-out (call, and they'll have your dishes ready in 15 minutes with a smile). Providing a number of dishes (including favorites such as a solid PadThai), this establishment will satisfy your hankerin' for quality Thai fare without the fuss. Dishes are tasty and fresh, but accommodating to newcomers; if you're a veteran and enjoy Thai foods, be aggressive with requests for spicy preparations, and they'll accommodate. Take-out menus readily available at the door - grab one the next time you're at Tully's or neighboring store-fronts. Check it out and support a new, high quality option in our neighborhood.
