A restaurant with a long line extending from inside to outside on the sidewalk can only mean one thing--THE FOOD IS AWESOME! Surprisingly enough, every time I've gone to the Red Iguana, I haven't had to wait more than 20 minutes for a table. The food is so good, I would actually wait an hour. Everything on the menu is good. I really like the Tamales and recommend them to anyone.

The Red Iguana is an institution in Salt Lake City. They open at 11:30 for lunch. Better be there before that, though. The line starts to form early.

The food is amazing. Most of the menu reflects the food that is local to the Yucatan Peninsula. Words don't do it justice. If you go, try one of the moles. They always knock my socks off.

Right on North Temple there sets this small hole in the wall restaurant called The Red Iguana. Not the most appetizing name, but step in side. Their STRONG maragrias are to die for! Can't have just one, no way! I've had nearly everything on the menu and have yet to be dissatisfied. The staff is superb and really helpful and knowledgeable. The food is fantastic. I cannot emphasize the food well enough. You've got to try it. I will forewarn you though, on weekends and evening it gets crowded. Expect a wait.....outside. If it's winter time, they do have outdoor space heaters that help.
