I have been doing business with Doug since the day he opened the door, and I can honestly say I have never regretted any of the hundreds of transactions I've done with him or his staff. He went to alot of effort at times to find a particular gun or item I wanted and still gave me a very fair price on them. Sure the parking is cramped at times, but they have arranged extra parking next door. They do get busy at times, that's a good sign that they have loyal customers and referrals. I've never had to wait more than a couple of minutes to get helped, and unlike some other gun stores, the staff is knowledgeable and not pushy. I like being able to go to their shooting range during bad weather to shoot or sight in a gun. I can heartily recommend Doug's to anyone looking to purchase a gun or accessories.
Pros: Good location and staff
Cons: Interior could stand a little remodeling work

This is the place Heritage monument is really a great place to get to know what Utah is all about. I had never thought about going until my in-laws came up and the monuments are incredible. The stories that are there are very interesting and it pays tribute not only to the Mormon settlers but also the fur trappers and Spaniards that made their way through Utah. I highly recommend this monument to all those history buffs out there.

To The Customers, Friends, and Family who knew Skip.
Skip passed away on Wed. November 26, 2008, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He touched everyone, that came into his life, was know not only for his kindness, smile, but his great gift of gab & his stories.
If any of you who came to Utah Book in the early hours on a Sat. you would fine Skip, Pete, & Tom playing poker. Skip worked at Utah Book for many years, next to his side kick, friend & brother Peter. They were half owners of the store.
Skip was not only a great man, but he was our brother. We loved him a great deal and will miss him riding up on one of the girls ( his motor cycles).
Piece Out Big Brother!! Keep It Square :)

A friend of mine took me there to target practice. While the shooting range needs a face lift. The overall range ok, after all you are firing guns which contain gun powder. I found the sales people to be very helpful. Knowledgeable about their stock. The sales are also very friendly, specially Monte. The gun prices are very goood.

This place is cool. If you are ever in Salt lake City and you need something to do that is nice and slow paced then give it a try . It is basicly a huge park that houses hundreds if not thousands of birds. It is alot of fun for kids or even adults. All will be entertained. it is open during the winter so you can go just about anytime you want. but it does close a bit early so get there hours if oyu are going to go there.

Red Butte Gardens is one of the most beautiful places you can visit in the spring and summer in the Salt Lake Valley. The outdoor gardens hold gorgeous flowers and plants--some that one may have never seen before. It is a peaceful and relaxing place to take a picnic and nice book to sit back and relax in. The gift shop has some neat items. It is one of my favorite places to go during the summer nights in Utah.
There are also many music events that take place throughout the seasons. I've been to an evening jazz concert and was in heaven sitting back in my chair, taking it all in. Ahhhhh.
Definitely a place worth visiting.

My niece and I always have a blast when we go the the Children's Museum. There are tons of things to do, see and talk about. It is very 'hands on' and I think that is what makes this place so much fun. When we go, we're usually there for about 2 hours. Admission is reasonable.
I was excited to learn that the Children's Museum will be relocating to the Gateway Shopping Center within the next year. Their new space is supposed to have state of the art exhibits and will be in a great location. I can't wait!
If you've never been here, definitely make an effort to go! You won't regret it. It will be a day of fun that your kids will be talking about.

Wow! This is probably the best kept secret for a night out in all of Utah! I can't imagine a better way to spend a summer evening than to sit in this fabulous ballpark, watch high quality baseball, drink a locally brewed beer, and view the mountains of the Wasatch Front turn all colors of pink, gold, and orange. All of this for and entry fee of $5 (or an entire family for $10 on Mondays).

They seem to have the best camping equipment and a huge selection of sporting and outdoor goods. They have name brand items and their staff is there to assist you with your selections. I have purchased camping equipment and outdoor clothing here. It is the best place to go because they have it all!
