They gave us an esitmate that was competive. They came when they said they would and the workmanship exceeded our expectations. They were very clean. We love our new floor.

I bought Marmoleum (a beautiful linoleum product) from Carpet One and asked them to install it. They set the installation date. However, the date was changed several times as they had no installers available. In the meantime, my washer and dryer sat out on the back lawn for five days. When the installer finally showed up, it was discovered that the salesman had not ordered enough product for the job. Another delay. Three weeks later I finally raised "cain" and got installers to my house. The job they did was far below professional level. In many places the linoleum doesn't even reach the walls. There are bubbles and the linoleum is not joined at the seam in the doorway. My complaints fell on deaf ears, and there was no reduction in price. I would recommend that anyone needing flooring go somewhere else. I wish I had.
Cons: they do not do the work they promised

Lumber Liquidators is where we purchased our flooring when we were building our house. It is a great place to find cheap prices on flooring. They had a laminate flooring that we loved because it looked just like hard wood. The only problem we experienced was that we bought too much laminate, and they won't take any back. Most of their sales are final. They would take some of our edging back, but charged us quite a restocking fee, and it wasn't worth even returning after that.

We had a flood in our home and our carpeting and hardwood flooring needed to be replaced. Our insurance company required that we go through Carpet One for our replacement flooring. After having them come by our home to take samples of the flooring along with the room measurements, they committed to call us back in a couple of days to have us come in and look at comparable items. After not hearing from them for a week we finally called them to see what was going on. We were told that the person that took the samples was out for the day and that they would have her call us back the following day since she was the only one that knew what the replacement items would be. Again, no call and after waiting several days we went into the store to see if we could get some help. Again, our sales person was out and the manager could not find the information on our samples. In looking around the showroom we noticed that there were no prices listed on the samples. After asking about it we were given some line about how they were all different ranges, and that once our sales person got back with us she would let us know which samples were equal to what we had had in our home. After we finally got some help from our sales person we were shown the samples of what would be comparable to what we had. We made our selection and after numerous delays due to backorders and having initially ordered in the wrong wood we got our flooring installed.
Well, what we were sold was certainly not the same quality that we had prior to the flood. After quizzing our installer he admitted that the wood he was installing was not the same thickness or quality as what he pulled out of our home. Yet, when we questioned the store we were assured that they were equal. After the hardwood floor was installed we discovered that many of the boards were warped, and there are black streaks in some of the boards that look like something just skidded across the board. Our carpet is coming up in chunks when we vacuum as well. We were definitely not sold equal quality as what we had prior to the flood. The materials are very substandard in quality.
Please learn from my mistake and go elsewhere for your flooring needs.
Pros: None
Cons: Dishonest pricing and very poor service
