If I can't get an appointment at my regular hair cutting joint, I usually go to Gloria's Cuts. It is a really small barber shop, but is good enough to get the job done for me. I walk out of there usually paying less (by about half) compared to my regular place. It's nice to go and chat with the old timers that are in there.

My grandfather has been going to Gloria's Cuts for as long as I can remember. It's his ritual to go once every other week to get a trim and a shave. The shop is a tiny place with only 2 chairs to sit in to get your hair cut. There are a couple of chairs you can sit in if you're waiting for someone. (I usually just go walk around the ZCMI Mall and meet up with my grandfather at a certain time.) The barber that has been cutting my grandfather's hair has been working there for years. If you're wanting to go to an old fashioned barber shop, then go check out Gloria's. Their operating hours are Mon-Fri 10am-6pm, so make sure you go during those times.
