Last saturday i went with my boyfriend and a lot of friends from college who lives next door to THE WILD ONION's bar and restaurant to celebrate my birthday,we were having fun, my boyfriend,my friends and me, and every thing was fine and we had fun, till a tall security guy throw my boyfriend's drink and start pushing him very hard without letting him even talk, and i asked him what hapen, he says if u guys wanna kiss go to a hotel !
me and all my friends have seen every thing, so we go out of the bar and we tried to talk with them and explain what happened but nobody wanna listen instead they closed the door! and they behave with us like creminals!
That was my favorite place to eat drink and have fun, and i live next door to it, but is that a good way to treat people? espicially when they are regular custemer's?

If you decide to eat here, ask to sit on the patio you will love it! One of my best dinning exp. ever we sat outside on a perfect night, ordered a great drink vodka bootleg. The service was super always is when your server has a helper to do the water and bring the bread out. The food reminds me a lot of what you see on top chef very trendy and up scale! Check this place out!!
Pros: patio, great menu, and service!

I love the location of the Wild Onion and what they have to offer. Great atmosphere to go along with a happening joint and reasonable prices. There is always something happening on grand avenue and Wild Onion is right in the middle of it all. There has been a great variety of people there the times I've been there. With many local colleges this is the place to be if your in your 20's!

Very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and never hound you to buy things you don't want! Very reasonable prices; no ridiculous activation or cancellation fees on any of their tanning packages! I love their Versa Spa spray tan, it doesn't leave you streaky and orange like the Mystic Tan!

The pineapple fried rice is delicious beyond words. Order it with chicken and make it spicy. The special egg rolls and accompanying sauce are also super tasty. Also good: pad thai, pad khing, every soup on the menu, the spring rolls, the entire buffet!!
Pros: BEST egg rolls, BEST pineapple fried rice
Cons: Lackluster decor doesn't match the fantastic menu.

We were on the fence about dining here because of the "love it or hate it" reviews....seemed like it might be hit-or-miss. However, we went anyway and had a GREAT overall experience. I'm glad we decided to judge it for ourselves, and I also noticed that the negative reviews are a few years old, so maybe they have picked it up a bit? The margaritas were fantastic, we all thoroughly enjoyed our entrees, the atmosphere was great, and we have no complaints about the service. The parking lot is not big enough, but we just parked across the street at the Boca Chica fast food restaurant and hoped that they were the same owners and wouldn't mind!! We are definitely going back and would recommend it to anyone!
Pros: take reservations, good atmosphere, great food
Cons: parking was a little tough, big lot but it's a busy place!
