The Science Museum of Minnesota is a perfect combination of education and entertainment. Although admission and parking are pricey, this is one place definitely worth checking out. The museum allows you to explore various hands-on exhibits, displays and presentations involving natural history, technology and the sciences. The environment is fun and interactive, and a place people of all ages can learn from and enjoy. One of the nations largest dinosaur exhibits, the Omnitheater, a conservation center, the Bloodstream Superhighway and a virtual boat ride down the Mississippi River are among the dozens of attractions the Science Museum of Minnesota has to offer.

The Omnitheatre is located inside the Science Musuem in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The Omnitheatre is a theatre that wraps around you and above you, forming a circle of a screen. It starts out as a IMAX scren and converts into an omnitheatre. They show educational films, everything from wild prairies to underwater adventures. The action and movement of these movies are truly fascinating. This theatre is not for the faint of heart, however! If you get motion sickness, you may get sick from the movement on the screen. The nature of the screen's configuration makes you feel like you are moving, too!

I remember the first time I saw the omni theater. I was visiting the Twin Cities from Iowa and my brother took me. I think the movie was about the artic ( this was 25 years ago) It made a wonderful impression on me then, and I know it will make a great impression on anyone new to the experience now. It feels like you are in the movie. I recommend it especially for any of the nature themed movies they have.

But not so good if you're subject to dizziness. I do have issues with all IMAX movies, but the experience I had at the OmniTheater was great. We saw the movie about the Nile, and there were only a few times I had to close my eyes. It's certainly a different experience and one everyone should try at least once!

If you're a tactile person, this is the place for you to go. There are at least four floors of awesome fun awaiting you at the Minneapolis Science Museum. For kids, there are many activities to engage in and learn about. For adults, there are still many fun things to do. There is an IMAX available.
One of the more enjoyable activities was the ping pong ball structure located in one of the restaurants. We had so much fun throwing our ping pong balls into the air! There is so much to do here that it is important to leave a few hours to absorb it all. Also, there is an additional fee to park. Finding the place can be difficult so have a good map handy.

I would recommend Science Museum of Minnesota to both children and adults. Granted, most exhibits are catering to children – but adults will find plenty of things to do and learn as well. Plus, the museum changes its future exhibits often enough, so it’s never really the same place again. I especially love their musical stairs… what fun to jump on when no one is watching.

The science museum is a great place to take your family, there are so many interesting exhibits that both children and adults will enjoy. The experience was wonderful for everyone. There is a lot to learn about many science things from breeding a dog, steering a barge to learning about the human body. I would definitely recommend going to the science museum

I have always loved the Science Museum of Minnesota, but it's especially great now that they built a new building. The exhibits are amazing, the Omnitheater is great and it's fun to see a show there. To go the the Omnitheater and the exhibits it's only $13.00 and it's literally an all day attraction. Definately a must see if you've never been there.

The Science Museum of Minnesota is a good place to take your kids. It also has an Omnimax theater, which is definitely fun if it is playing a good movie. However, if you don’t have kids or a hankerin’ for a movie, don’t go there. It is another example of a museum that is completely geared toward children. There is hardly a single exhibit there, which can hold the interest of an adult for more than two minutes. It would be more accurately called The Children’s Museum, but I guess they already have one of those in town.
