Como Zoo is home to various exotic animals and wildlife including giraffes, polar bears, zebras, tigers, seals, timber wolves and gorillas (just to name a few). The living conditions are very decent. The famous "Sparky the Sea Lion Show" is still a crowd-pleaser. Concession stands are located throughout the grounds. There is a visitor center that includes a gift shop, restrooms, pay phones, first aid, etc. Large crowds and difficulty finding a place to park are the only setbacks. Admission is absolutely free. Although the zoo has changed quite a bit since I was a child, it continues to be a local favorite. People of all ages will enjoy it!

This zoo is so much fun because it is free! It is a really fun place to take little kids. They don't care how many animals they see. For them they just love to see the lions and the polar bears and the monkeys. The polar bear area has a fun underwater viewing area. The kids can stand at the glass and watch close up when the bears swim. The only downside to the zoo is the smell! The gorillas absolutely reek!
