As a massage therapist, we know what we want in another MT: serious quality work with someone who's truly passionate about the work--which comes through during a treatment.
Ruth is this high caliber kind of MT. With her, it's NEVER a passionless "just getting through the session" because it's your job, like you can feel in the touch of some others. Ruth puts her heart into each therapy session I've ever experienced--and you leave feeling cared about, tended to, truly relaxed and rejuvenated.
(Personally, I find this EXTREMELY important, as I'm highly sensitive to others' energies, and it deadens the enjoyment if I can feel someone's just not into their work.)
But, on top of Ruth's beautiful energy output is her truly skilled ability to work on clients' issues: Not only are her listening skills top-notch (again, a hard-to-find quality in a therapist), but her application is quite honed. Just tell her where it hurts and she'll get to work with gentle, yet effective techniques to get those kinks out.
In my near decade of practicing massage therapy, I have tried out dozens of MTs. Ruth Blomster is one of a single-digit group that I can (and do) easily put my name behind as a stellar example of the profound work an MT can do in supporting clients committed to maintaining their health in a natural way; I refer people to her often, as she's a genuine credit to our industry.

I'm picky about my skin and who I let touch it! Marta is hands down the best facial I've ever had. She's amazing. There were a handful of European/Romania trained Skin Care specialists that made it to the states. Marta's peers from the famous skin care school in Romania are the Facialists to the stars. But here in the Midwest you too can get high calipur skin care right here! No oscar needed.

We have used Laurel Street flowers on many occasions; we have never been disappointed in the condition or the timely delivery to family and friends in the cities. Always lovely, unusual blooms with unique arrangements. The best ever -- not your ordinary run-of-the-mill style. Paula and her staff are very friendly and helpful with suggestions.

While several of my friends raved about Izzy's ice cream on Marshall Avenue, I told them they had to trie the Greand Ole Creamery, and they have not been back to Izzy's since. This is definately the best ice cream you can get in the twin cities, and I have tried several. Similar to Coldstone Creamery, but much much better!!!

This is a very nice tanning salon very clean and kept up nice, I have only had the spray on tans so I don't know what the other beds are like. but the spray on tan works really well. They give you good instructions on how to do the tan. The people are very nice.

The style I received was ok to good and the stylist was talkative. She did a great job on waxing eyebrows and took time to carefully define an arch. She also tweezed to make it look perfect. The prices are lower here than the average salon especially if you get a newer stylist.

This salon was very nice. I had a mani/pedi from Tricia and she was wonderful. My nails and toes looked awesome and I will go back! The rest of the staff was very polite as well. Go there!

Dan and his sub contractors were great. Dan was very good at keeping me informed of scheduling and letting me know of any changes. I was in a hurry to add the second bath and Dan was not at all deterred by the quick start and finish request. I needed to add a little additional work, no one even blinked, it was just taken care of. I will certainly be hiring Dan and his crew again for additional work.
On a side note, I have a 4yo son who thinks 'construction guys' are heroes and Dan and the rest of the guys were extremely patient with him.

The name of the shop says it all: tattoos and piercings. I recently accompanied a friend here a regardless of the reputation tattoo parlors often carry, this place is very much clean and sterile. The artists wash their hands regularly, use sterile equipment and wipe everything down before doing a tattoo or piercing. The atmosphere is surprisingly pleasant and inviting. The staff is friendly and the prices are very reasonable.
