Waxing staff person, Amanda, is unprofessional. Amanda told me the names of people that I might know who also get waxed by her and then told people that I know that I get waxed by her. How I remove my body hair is my business and I don't want to be approached by people (in public no less) and get asked about it! I called and left a formal complaint with the manager stating that I felt like I had my confidentiality breached. Amanda called me to apologize, but stated several times that she didn't feel like she had breached my confidentiality. She mostly sounded defensive. Too bad. Someone I trust gave me a recommendation for future waxing: Melanie at Salon George 651-379-1414. That's where I'll be going! Cons: Staff will blab about you to folks who may know you!

I was really excited to try this place, as it gets great reviews and looks very nice. I was happy with my haircut. However, I felt like a plague from the moment I walked in the door. No greeting from the front desk. No direction as to where to hang my coat, etc. My stylist, though skilled, had the personality of a dish towel and a condescending attitude to boot. Not the best traits when you make your living in a service trade. Pros: Nice environment, skilled stylists Cons: Employees act like customers are a bother.

Would highly recommend her, super friendly and a great listener. I have been going to 526 for a long time, they have great services and awesome employees. That you can get the best massage in the Twin Cities ( and I have been to a lot of places ) from Amy Jo goes without saying. But yesterday was the fist time that I had my hair colored and cut by Pamela. My hair is difficult to dye and even harder to style, and she did an amazing job. She colored, cut and styled my hair differently than I have had it done before and it turned out beautifully. I had my bachelorette party that night and have never received so many complements on my hair from my friends. I am so happy with how it turned out and highly recommend her services. She does an amazing job. Pros: Best salon in town Cons: Parking is hard to find

Thanks to Desiree at 526, the fact that I'm fairly hair illiterate no longer matters. She did perfectly the exact color I wanted after I had tried other places that just didn't get it right. (I'll admit that I'm bad at describing it, but Desiree made sure that we found exactly what I wanted.) She is also very talented when it comes to cutting hair--and is not afraid to be creative when I ask her to, but incorporates the elements of a style that I request flawlessly. 526 Salon is an absolutly fabulous place! I have been going to the salon for about a year now and everytime is always a wonderful experience. You walk in and are greeted by the receptionist who takes your coat and offers you a selection of teas, coffee, hot cocoa, water or EVEN WINE! My stylist Katrina is Amazing...everytime I have an appointment she sits me down and asks me what I would like done and we discuss the cut the color the everything. The end result is always the best! She also lets me know exactly what she uses to style my hair so I can style it myself at home as well! 526 Salon also carries Bumble to Bumble products which I truly find to be the best products for me and I have also gotten many of my friends to use the products too! I think you all should give the place a try the atmosphere the people and even the Gallery in back is one of a kind! Pros: Atmosphere, Bumble to Bumble Products, Wine

After going to 526 a couple of times, I plan on sticking with it! My stylist, Pamela, is excellent: she does GREAT consultations when I go in for a cut or color, and she goes above and beyond to make sure I'm satisfied with the results. It's a very relaxing yet professional environment; you get wine, coffee, or tea while you get beautified, and the indoor space is nice and airy, not cramped at all. I highly recommend this salon, as you can see. I have always been very satisfied with my hair, and Pamela has always been very flexible and able to answer all of my questions. I feel that all the stylists here want me to look good when I leave at least as much as I do! The overall experience makes me feel very pampered and relaxed. I have been going to 526 for a while now and have seen a variety of stylist's. I recently went to Pamela for my haircut, she is a stylist in training there, and a former receptionist. She was so helpful, she took her time and made sure I was more than pleased with my cut. I have naturally very thick hair and she was able to thin it out and give it shape at the same time! The best part is she only charges $20!!!!! The salon is breath taking, and I had a chance to check out the gallery, where I met Stephen. He is the gallery director and was so kind and so informative about the pieces on display. Overall, I would recomment 526 to anyone, I'm going to tell all my friends to go there and think anyone who needs a salon makeover or just wants to try someone/something new shouldnt pass up! Pros: Great atmosphere and overall expierence!!!

I just went in for a simple updo for my friends wedding, the receptionist was EXTREMELY rude, they were nearly 30 minutes behind, and seemed like I was just more of a hassle, than a customer. I ended up having to leave, nearly in tears because it was my best friends wedding later that day and I looked like I had a poodle on my head!!! Thank god I was able to get in at Root, they squeezed me in, I NEVER WILL EVER GO BACK TO 526! Pros: easily get an apointment!!!! Cons: I can see why it was easy to get an apointment, TERRIBLE!
