While several of my friends raved about Izzy's ice cream on Marshall Avenue, I told them they had to trie the Greand Ole Creamery, and they have not been back to Izzy's since. This is definately the best ice cream you can get in the twin cities, and I have tried several. Similar to Coldstone Creamery, but much much better!!!

I have been going to Izzy's for about 3 years, and I have to say that it's probably the best ice cream in the whole world. I can't say enough good things about it! They have tons of unique flavors, but there's always a chocolate chip or an oreo flavor for the traditional ice cream lovers. They have absolutely the BEST dark chocolate ice cream flavor--dark chocolate zin, and it is to die for. They also have a very rich and sinful cream cheese ice cream that is perfect for the cheesecake lover. The staff is incredibly friendly, and you can get lots of samples before you make your final choice. Way to go, izzy's!

My husband ordered his ice cream mix and had asked for marshmellows to be added to it. Well, he didn't get the marshmellows and then after we had paid the two teenage workers left and went in the backroom. I already had my ice cream but my husband's was sitting on the counter on the other side of the glass. Two minutes later, the girl comes out and asks, "Do we need anything else?" Um, yeah, can my husband have his ice cream please? Doh!
Pros: Great ice cream mixes
Cons: Customer service needs improvement.

We have loved this zoo for years! Admission to the Como Zoo in St Paul, MN is free (they ask for donations - but they are not required). For being a free zoo - it is great! They have giraffes, zebras, tigers, lions, fish, seals, flamingos, polar bears and more!
They also have a small park called "Como Town" with some rides mostly for kids - such as a frog hopper, mini roller coaster, etc.
They also have a conservatory that is very well maintained. They have plants from all over the world. It is nice to visit on a cold day and gets pretty hot during the summer.
The downside - being a free zoo - it is VERY busy on the weekends! Parking is hard to come by - so come prepared to park on a city street and do some walking.
