In October of 2009, we held our reception at Summit Manor, a beautiful early 1900s mansion. My husband and I both love the classic look and deep character of this building: hardwood flooring, big window casings, and glass chandeliers. The owner, David, was great to work with and very accommodating to whatever special requests we had. He was very promt with returning our phone calls and had many helpful suggestions on how to make the day run smoothly.
One of the biggest advantages of going with Summit Manor was that they took care of so many details for us and so much was included like linens, cihna, flatware, cake cutting, flowers for all the tables, and we could bring out own alcohol. They did of most of the set-up and clean-up, and other than packing our things into our car, we didn't have do any work. The food was fantastic. We had the carved turkey and roast beef. They allowed us to bring in our own cake (from a licensed baker) and even accommodated me when I asked them to use a special recipe for the turkey. We had some odd "extras" for the reception like 150 canned jars of goodies for favors, a popcorn bar, and an interactive photo wall. They were wonderful about setting things out when they needed to go out. Many guests complimented us on the venue choice and loved looking around the three floors and exploring all the different rooms.

Another must see in St. Paul. Great way for the whole family to learn all kinds of things. There is the 3-D cinema and the that are great. Just remember to keep your glasses on at the 3D theater . There is so much for the kids to see and learn. The musical stairs were quite a surprise. I didn't realize the stairs we were walking on did that. Very cool to bring the whole family to, young and old. There is alot to learn even for the older generation. The kids loved exploring the different stations and learning how things actually work. To see that for themselves is something they won't forget.

I started going to Cinema Ballroom a few years ago and haven't looked back ever since! I've taken classes at other studios and love the lessons at CInema Ballroom the best. I'm not sure what the other reviewer was talking about because the prices have been raised once in the 4 years I've been going there. While I mention it, the prices are well below most other studios and the quality of instruction is better! Last I saw, the $95 is for lessons from their nationally ranked dance instructors. Their other instructors are $60 to $85 and I get to go to all the group classes.

You would never expect to taste such good food at a Bowling Alley!! I cannot tell you how good the Steak and Lobester is!! The prices are pretty good too! The only downfall is that the dining room is right with the bar so there are people walking in and out from the bowling alley and also people sitting at the bar.But that does not bother me as I like the laid back way that they run this place! Karoake is fun there too!!

W. A. Frost and Co has really super food. We went there for a Sunday morning brunch and they had a beautiful spread of great food. They had so many different types of food and it was served really pretty with flowers and nicely displayed on linen tableclothed tables. They have a nice seating area outside where you can eat at small umbrellaed tables and enjoy the weather. Very nice place.

OK--I have not tried the food but their drinks are great and relatively affordable. the menu does look superb with several unique items. However, the best thing about the BONFIRE is that they have dueling pianos every weekend--for sure on Saturday nights. The players are really good and know any song that you can think of. Guests can request songs and sing along! It is a really fun atmosphere--great for a group! Parking is a block or so away but can be found pretty easily. "The Bonfire" is conveniently located on Grand Ave, near Dale Street in St. Paul.

We used to enjoy going there, but it's so difficult when they don't take reservations. There is often a long wait for a table, and unlike restaurants in a mall, there isn't much else to do. I've rarely been able to find a seat at the bar, so I'm forced to stand for at least a half hour.
The food? Well, it's been okay. Nothing I'd go out of my way for, and slightly on the over priced size. This location is extremely loud, so conversation is difficult. I may try one of the other locations to see if the acoustics are better.
