I can't believe the reviews here, either. There are over 2000 animals, representing 500 species. These people who didn't see animals must be blind or just not sure what an animal looks like. The animals at Como are in small, concrete inclosures, unfit for living. It's cruel. During the winter, they keep the giraffe in a 10 by 10 pen - for months!! That's the reason you don't see African animals at the MN zoo. There, they do what is best for the animal. In other words, they care. And as far as the price is concerned, have you been to Sea World lately? It's like $80 per person!! $12 at the MN zoo is cheaper than most zoos - most decent zoos, that is.
Pros: Natural spaces for animals, huge variety, creative exhibits. Cheap

Minnesota Zoo is one of the best places entire family can enjoy and never get tired of it. I especially enjoy indoor exhibits. There is even an exhibit of nocturnal animals, so one can see them while they are active – Minnesota Zoo is the only place I’ve seen it so far. Definitely go - and come back again and again, one day is not enough to see everything.

I was driving along Hwy 96 on my way to Stillwater when out of the corner of my eye I saw a sign for Pine Tree Apple Orchards. I decided to be adventureous and check it out. So down the road I went and over the train tracks and around this corner and that and then there it was! It was like finding treasure at the end of the rainbow... okay maybe I am being a little melodramatic but it was very entertaining and lively place. I had a blast! I came back the next week with my 4 year old nephew and he loved it. We are going again this year!
Pros: Great Atmosphere, Relaxing and Inviting, No hassle Parking

More
Formerly known as the Como Park Conservatory, the newly revamped Marjorie McNeely Conservatory does a wonderful job of preserving and displaying exotic plant life. The atmosphere is very elegant, yet warm (literally) and inviting. Throughout the North and Sunken Gardens and the Palm Dome, various collections of palms, orchids, ferns, bonsais and much more are on display. Flower shows are hosted every season. There is a visitor center, as well as a gift shop. The conservatory is stroller and wheelchair accessible. Admission is only $1 for adults ($0.50 for seniors and kids 6-12, free for kids 5 and under). This is a gorgeous facility and a place the whole family can enjoy.

I remember going on field trips to the Minnesota Zoo and waiting nearly all year with great anticipation. There are varieties of animals from nearly every continent, including lions, tigers, and bears (oh my!). Plus, attendees will have a special offer to see one of the world-class Imax films on their special Imax screen. Just don't sit in the front row!
