A fairly inexpensive way to entertain the kids for a few hours, the Magic House was always a favorite of mine growing up, and I can't wait to take my kids there when they are old enough! I have visited recently with friends' and their children, and the 'aw' factor definitely still exists. Very easy access in Kirkwood, Missouri - staff is friendly and facilities very well-maintained.

I have always loved the Magic House and considered it a real jewel in the heart of Saint Louis County. Located in Kirkwood, it is easy to get to and really has a nice residential type feel to it when you are traveling there. Parking is plentiful, and it is a really wonderful place to take family especially if there are children. Little ones will be amazed and have so much fun here as there are many exhibits and activities for them to participate in.
I highly recommend the Magic House if you are wanting to spend a few hours with the kids.

The Magic House is a great place to go for family fun. Most exhibits are geared to preschool and early grade school aged students but are fun for visitors of all ages. My personal favorite exhibits are the electrostatic ball and the wall that holds your shadow after you move. When they were younger my daughters loved to spend time in the pretend village acting out roles in various businesses. The Magic House is the place to visit anytime you are looking for something to do.

This is such a great place to take kids. There are many floors of fun, hands on, educational things for them to do. The Magic House is great for all ages, and they even have an outdoor exhibit every once in a while. Parking is tight sometimes, and the house can be crowded, so you might want to try to go during the week.

The Magic House is truly a St. Louis gem. This children's museum (if museum is really the right word for it) allows people to take a hands-on approach to science. This is a great place to take a family, and the adults are as likely to find it interesting as the kids. If you like the Magic House, also check out the Science Museum.

The Magic House is located in Kirkwood and is a great place to bring young children. Here, young and old alike can get a static hair makeover as well as explore the wonderful world of magic and illusions. Well, not so much but the place definitely can excite the young ones. For adults though, the place is interesting once or twice but most adults go there to entertain the kids and not themselves anyway.
