Cheshire Lodge is an old English style hotel near Forest Park. We spent our honeymoon night in the bridal suite almost 40 years ago. We have been back since, and although showing some age, is very well kept. The staff is friendly, the room comfortable.

I first visited the Westin St. Louis in fall, 2003. I fell in love...it was so perfect. Modern and luxurious. Not like frilly decor, but cool, hip and comfortable. If you are "conservative" you might think it stark, but if you are 30-40ish, yuppie, you will Love it.
The Staff went out of their way both times I was there to make my stay wonderful.
Thanks, Albert in the Hospitality suite...you were a doll. Get the upgrade to the floor with this amenity...it's sweet!
Can't wait to go back.
Pros: Decor!, Very Clean, Huge

Our hotel stay was very affordable. We were within walking distance of Union Station, and not too far from the downtown and the Arch, either. And our room had a view of the Arch/river! It was definitely a good choice to stay at the Courtyard Marriott - we paid a decent price and had a great time in St. Louis!

This hotel was awesome! I stayed here for my 21st birthday and got a great deal on the room from Expedia. We had a wonderful view from the 22nd floor of downtown St. Louis and the bridges leading into town. Everything was immaculately clean and very stylish and modern. I definitely recommend this hotel for anyone coming into town, whether it’s for business or pleasure.

this is not your typical hotel restaurant as you walk into a 2room area of platters and platters of food; stack of fruit and sometimes even ice sculptures. there are different deli meats, variuos breads and butters and cheeses and spreads, and not only will the chef make you eggs right in front of you, he can also make waffles and pancakes.
i am a big dessert freak, and believe me they have a variety. at least four to five different cakes, some dessert candies and fruit.
i find this a great place to go in the winter, lots of colorful fruit and veges all there in front of you. drinks are separate, but tea and coffee service is included in the brunch price.
and that's the final thing, i find it a bit steep, $21 i think. still for once in a while, its worth it.

This is a great hotel, especially for the price. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious and recently renovated, as near as I can tell. The beds are actually comfortable (close to a first for me in a hotel, other than the Ritz Carlton). The restaurant downstairs is actually very, very good. I had the filet mignon, which was cooked a perfect medium rare. The French Onion soup was your typical French Onion Soup; in other words, it was great!
Pros: Friendly staff, nice rooms, great food
Cons: Swimming pools a little small...

We recently spent 3 nights at the St. Louis Airport Marriott. We have stayed there in the past, but it has been many years and there have been changes made. We were given a room in the new tower (I would request this if I were you) which was very nice. Our room had all the new Marriott bedding and a plasma TV. We had the breakfast buffet daily and it was fresh and good...very typical for a Marriott buffet. The concierge lounge was nice and offered appetizers, drinks and dessert on weeknights as well as continental breakfast weekdays. The best thing was the price, compared to the downtown hotels, this one is a great deal.

This hotel is historic, but with that comes a lot of character. The Chase is located in the Central West End area of St. Louis, so it's very convienent for tourists looking for a hotel in the middle of a lot of things. It's very close to Forest Park where many of the free attractions are located, and it's close to many restaurants and bars.
It is an old hotel, so you will find some evidence of that. However, overall, it's a great choice if you are coming to St. Louis and wanting to stay somewhere nice. There is also a movie theater here.
