Mirasol is in the new section of the loop, by the Pageant. It's great to sit outside and enjoy Mojito's or Prickly Pear Margarita's. I went last night with 7 people and everyone was very impressed. This was my second time and I enjoyed it equally as well as the first. The menu is I believe described as Nuevo Latino Cuisine. We had Lobster Cerviche, Meatballs in a delicious sauce. Speaking of sauces.. the mango sauce that sits on the table is outstanding... has quite a kick to it. We put it on our crab empanadas and on the tortillas that we filled with goat cheese and chunks of beef. We also had a trio of plantain topped shredded pork, beans and chicken salad. We ordered one salad and there was plenty for 4 of us to share. I was also told by one of my coffee loving friends that the coffee is a must. Ham and cheese croquets, black beans on plantain(from the frio menu)and shrimp kabobs in a spicy sauce rounded out our meal. They bring the dishes out as they are ready which is nice because you get to sample things and then remove them from the table and try the next. Big thumbs up from all. No room for dessert... and reservations are suggested.

Everyone either seems to love this pizza or hate it. I fall into the latter category. I disliked everything about the unique type of pizza this chain serves. The sauce and the cheese are especially off putting. The sauce has an odd, different taste, and I could not identify the cheese at all - except to say it does not belong on a pizza. My husband - who loves all pizza in all it's shapes and forms, will not eat Imo's. And yet many people love Imo's. Hmmm. One more thing, I have never tried their toasted ravioli but I have no reason to believe it would not be good - a regional specialty that I especially liked while living there.

Okay, I'm a veggie. However, I'm not really that picky, so we're generally fine when we go out. This restaurant has nothing to offer a vegetarian. No burger, no pasta, nothing. Even all the salads (at least at the St. Charles location) had meat. I got a quesadilla without the chicken, and well, it sucked. The rolls were good. I'd say it was just me, but my husband had the Chipotle Salmon and hated it. The service was good mind you!

Try the pizza and salad with cheese! Yummy! They have a wonderful homemade italian dressing. The pizza is hand tossed and awesome. There is a little window that my kids like to watch them make the pizzas from. Great local place to enjoy a pizza and a beer! Have a bar with a bartender who knows everyone. Check it out!

Try the Gerber sandwich! Delicious!! It is toasted bread with ham and cheese. Ruma's was serving toasted sandwiches long before other sandwich shops thought of the ideas and the quality is excellent. They also have wonderful baked mostacolli and a good salad with cheese!! The portions are large and I always have enough for leftovers.

New eclectic salon located on Hampton Ave. Appointments and walk-ins are welcomed. I went in for a haircut on a Friday night and got the best style and cut. The atmosphere is fun and hip. The stylists are friendly and most importantly knowledgeable about the current trends. I would highly recommend to all my friends.

Great laid back local bar. The inside of the bar is quite small but provides for a friendly atmosphere. People can always be found playing darts or pool. They even have a dart league. My favorite part of this bar is the patio! Awesome atmosphere for a friendly gathering. Play washers or enjoy some tasty yet inexpensive food.

This hotel is very nice physically, but it lacks some things. The service and management in the restaurant was poor. They had too many outside functions going on that really interfered with the guests who were paying to stay at the hotel. Of course they did it to make extra money, but it's annoying to be trying to sleep in your room and hearing loud music through your closed window from a party downstairs. The good thing was that when we sent a complaint letter, the manager was very responsive to our concerns and took them seriously, so that part of management was good. But beware, extras are tacked on that really drive up the price- $10 for in room internet (which is really hidden as far as showing the charge when you read the website) $7 or so a day to park your car.

I went into this bank to set up an account after moving from another state. It needed to be a joint account with my spouse. I had called and asked if I could go in and do the paperwork and then take the papers home and have her sign them and take them back, because she wasn't going to be available to go in. I was told on the phone that I could, but that her signature would have to be notarized. So today I went in to do that. After sitting waiting for half an hour to even talk to someone, (they majorly need more people working) I was told that could not be done, and basically told that I had been told completely incorrect information on the phone. So I wasted a trip and close to 45 minutes on this. I think they are very understaffed to meet their customer needs, and obviously there is a lack of consistency in what different reps are telling people.

This is an excellent place if you have $10 in your pocket and want a home cooked meal. These guys know just what they're doing; its a grease pit with style.
1950's style chairs, solid wood tables and red walls create a good dining atmosphere. Tin Can is decorated with what else, but, fifty tin beer cans around the top ledge.
Good service and nice peole. There's a pool lounge a few steps down from main bar, with leather couches and recliners.
Would be perfect for a Happy Hour!
enjoy!
