I am not a true golfer, actually I have never actually played real golf but I do enjoy a good round of miniature golf. Swing-A-Round has a game room, snack area and batting ranges but my favorite part is the miniature golf area. The obstacles are nicely designed and the course if challenging but not so hard that it is not fun. The place is busy on weekends and summer evenings but off peak times make it fun to play without crowds. It is a great place to spend some family time with the kids.

What a charming town, and what a charming place to see a concert.
We went here to see INXS and Marty Casey with Lovehammers. This concert arena is great, with friendly folks working there and only $5 for the parking. (After paying more than 3 times this price for good ol' Chicago parking, I was impressed). When I ordered the 1st balcony seats, I thought they would be located in a true balcony, but I was thrilled to see that my first row seats were actually a foot off the main floor! Wheee, you have to like that one. The sound system was good and the arena is very convenient to the highway.
By the way...in case you were wondering, the concert was fantastic!! INXS rock, and that Gary Beers is as adorable as ever. And even though I didn't personally vote for J.D. Fortune to be their new lead singer (Mr. Casey was my fave) he was a dynamic performer and a lot of fun to watch. And Chicago's own Marty Casey and Lovehammers put on an electrifying, killer concert. ROCK AND ROLL, BABY!!!"

Historic Saint Charles is full of history. It was the first state capitol of Missouri and has lots of old building with beautiful architecure. The road is cobble stone and you can even get a horse and buggy ride in the evenings and on weekends. Along Main street you will find boutiques, restaurants, wineries and historical landmarks. Main street is one block off of the Missouri river and landmarks from Louis and Clark. Spending a day in historic Saint Charles would be filled with breathtaking views and lots to do. Frontier park in on the Missouri river and there are often festivals going on there as well as the 4th of July fireworks which are spectacular!

The Foundry Art Centre is a great way to spend a few hours. The gallery area features a changing selection of art work by midwestern artists so each visit offers something new to see. The upstairs lofts are rented by local artists and at any given time several artists can be seen working. Additionally the foundry is a beautiful setting available for rental.

I am a little nervous giving away my favorite fishing hole, but there are lots of lakes here (30+) so I am trusting you all to not overrun my best spots. Anyway, Busch has a whole variety of different outdoors sorts of activities, but the best here is fishing. There is even a tackle shop at the main office to supply you if necessary. I have had particularly good luck with largemouth bass, although good catches of crappie, sunfish (tend to be pretty small), and catfish are also entirely possible. Boat rentals are also available to best take advantage of the larger lakes. Enjoy!

For those of you that watch CBS' Rock Star, you may remember last year's winner, J.D. Fortune. Well, even though he wasn't my favorite, you realize why they chose him to front their band - he's a solid and energetic performer.
We went to this arena to see J.D.do his thing with INXS. Chicago's own Marty Casey (the runner up on Rock Star) and his band Lovehammers opened the show.
INXS still rock the stage, and that Gary Beers is as adorable as ever. And even though I didn't personally vote for J.D. Fortune to be their new lead singer (Mr. Casey was my fave) he was a dynamic performer and a lot of fun to watch. And Marty Casey and Lovehammers put on an electrifying, killer concert. If you have the chance, go see them in concert or pick u their CD. ROCK AND ROLL, BABY!!

I went to this theater last week (saw Scary Movie 4...yuck!) any way...I think its a pain to get to the parking lot. The theater itself is nice on the inside and the seating is pretty good. There are signs outside posted about no loitering etc. but there were still tons of "bedragled" youth hanging around and sitting on the curbs. Oh well...it wasn't has bad as Ronnies :-) and the police presence wasn't as scary. The lobby was nice and the arcade was Great! Overall though...it was pretty average for the St. Louis area.
