The Bistro is wonderful. It is our favorite neighborhood spot, hands down. I have enjoyed absolutely everything I have ever had there, and I've been there for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert and even just drinks. The ambiance is great, the service friendly, and the food delicious. They have a great drink menu and an awesome/affordable "small plate" menu. Sometimes we walk down there late in the evening just for the french fries with three different dips (the peach catsup is amazing), the shrimp cigars, and martinis. Also, their salads are incredible. Once in awhile the service will be slow, but that's pretty rare. And if they are slow, they make up for it by taking something off your tab. Word to the wise: try to go at off-peak times, otherwise you will wait awhile for a table.
Pros: the FOOD, value, ambiance
Cons: service sometimes slow, sometimes crowded

The Streets of London Pub, gives you the feel as if you are sitting somewhere in between Hethro Airport and Buckingham Palace because it has the ambience of bars in Europe. You can get most European beers on tap and I think they are the coldest in Sacramento. From outside the bar looks tiny but once you are inside you realize how large it really is. They also have some very tasty pub food, and I suggest you try the "Bangers and Mash" you can not go wrong. There are televisions in the place that are constantly showing some type of League soccer, and they have several dart boards hung up in the place. The back patio also offers outdoor seating and foosball tables all free of charge. This place is great, a very inexpensive way to get a taste of London.

I can only describe this bakery with one word, and it is “wow.” This bakery has a wide selection of delicious muffins. It also has cookies and bread. I got a piece of the chocolate cake recently there, and it was so good I thought I was in heaven. The coffee there is surprisingly good.

More
El Novillero Mexican Restaurant is a great restaurant to sit down and eat authentic mexican cuisine at a reasonable price. This restaurant is a place where one can go on a date to be able to have an intimate meal and conversation while at the same time a big group of friends can also go to share drinks and celebrate special occasions. The service and staff is very professional and courteous. Even the location of the restaurant is great because it is in the heart of the Mexican hub in the Sacramento area which adds to the ambience. Some nights you can also catch live Mariachi music being played for an added flare which distinguishes this Mexican restaurant from the many others. Overall I give this restaurant a high rating and encourage everyone to give it a shot.

I have come here several times to purchase some baby furniture and each time I have left happy! From baby seats to baby clothes, Goore's has got it all! The store is quite large, and can be a little confusing; but they employees can help you out with that. I would highly recommend this store for all parents on a budget.

My first choice is the fish and chips and there are plenty of beer options. Food that was prepared to order, staff that was more than helpful, great traffic flow so we never felt crowded nor did we think we were in an empty place. Warm, comfortable, relaxing atmosphere that is a wonderful spot to go to after a long day of work.

I laughed when I read the previous rater's review. Hot towels? Come on now! Taka's is blantantly a "California Style" sushi joint! They aren't masquerading to be some high class place where waiters with stiff white collars are going to hand you hot towels! Now, I go there for the food. I have been to those other places but yet I still come back to Takas. Not because of the service, which I admit is mediocre at times, but for the quality of food. The chefs are second to none. If you establish a relationship with them, they will treat you like a KING! I know my sushi and my fish and I know Taka's serves the best quality fish they can find. No doubts about that in my mind...

Brianna has been my hairstylist for three years now. I trust her with my hair. Brianna is wonderful and my other girlfriends are clients of hers as well. She works with you to achieve the look and color you desire. The salon carries Bumble & Bumble and Pureology-- both of which I love. The salon is in very appealing to those who appreciate a victorian feel.
Pros: Easy to find parking. Beverages. Reading material.
Cons: One way street.
