I live near this American River Bicycle location; it's the only bike shop in my neighborhood. I have tried, over the past 7 years, to give them business, but they make it so hard! The staff is rude; they do not acknowledge customers when they walk in the door; they practically ooze frustration when you ask for help. Ordering items has been a problem because, although they took my orders, they never called me back to let me know if it came in. Once, it was clear that they forget to order my request at all. The selection of bikes and accessories is OK, but I dread going in there because the staff is so ridiculously rude and uninterested in my business. I have watched the staff with other customers and it seems to be a common problem. Don't shop here! They make you feel unwanted. This location has a wide variety of different types of bikes that you can buy. They also have bikes that you can rent for the day. The cost for rental varies depending on how many hours you want to rent. You can buy bike accessories at this store. They are great about directing you to the american river bike path. There is plenty of parking.
