Whenever I'm at my northern home I can't resist the temptation to get a bag full of the cashew brittle. I have tried others while on location at various candy stores all over the world and nothing compares to Sacramento Sweets. Also in the summer I just have to have a large waffle con full of the vanilla soft ice cream.

My favorite place to go to get ice cream even in the winter! You will like this place! they have all kinds of homemade candy like several kinds of brittle, candied apple, fudge, etc! They also have cotton candy, other candy that they have made, popcorn and ice cream! yum! Try their Caramel apple apple sunday. You will love it. It is a real apple sliced, wih vanilla/apple ice cream/yogurt topped with whipped cream, caramel, and peanuts! It is so delicious, I still have one in the winter even when it is very cold!!!

They are Sacramento's premiere candy confectionary. Their shop is like stepping into the old days. The candy is old fashioned candy, the shop looks old fashioned. Everything is slow cooked the old fashioned way, over an open fire, in a copper kettle. When you walk in the store you can see them cooking everything or hand dipping items by hand. They have tons of different candies to choose from, from hard candy, salt water taffy to gourmet items like turtles, truffles and chocolate dipped items. This store is a must stop for sweets.

In Old Sacramento, this is one of the first businesses to greet you as you get off the highway. It's a cute little place, and when you walk it, it's very nostalgic. However, it is a little high priced, and the candy here is comparable to the other sweet shops in Old Sacramento. But the employees are friendly, and they do have some of the newer, harder to find candy.

This is a local staple when traveling the old streets in Old Sacramento. With all of the chocolate freshly made. When walking in you are overpowered by the smell so unless your dieting you will be buying something from this location. They have a large selection of chocolates available and also many varieties of salt water taffys that are available for sale.
