Fairytale Town is wonderful for the kids. It's a collection of play structures related to several popular fairytales. Most items are small enough for my 2yr old, but fun for my 6yr old. Favorites are the Crooked Mile which is a elevated, cement walking path that winds through a 'forest', Owl's house (from Pooh bear), a treehouse and slide with stairs to top and the pirate ship. My daughter always asks about the face painting, which is an additional charge. Supposedly, the park has special events through out the year. Check the site for schedule, but I've seen advertisements ice cream socials, live music, plays and puppet shows. I haven't seen any of these in person. The park has lots of shade, so still fun in the hotter summer months. Food is mediocre (like Sac Zoo across street) but reasonable. Hot dog, chips and drink were about $5/person. Hot day? Grab an ice-cream treat! Lots of free parking, but it's shared with the Sacramento Zoo, Fun'derland (amusement park rides

When my daughter was old enough to play with other children, I brought her to this location. She had a good time. The place is clean and they have a little farm with some animals in it (cow, pony, chickens,ect). My daughter liked looking at the animals. The setting is like a fairytale land (old lady in the shoe, ect) and the children can go to any place they want to. They also have a garden where they can water the plants and smell the flowers. It's a nice, safe place for young children to play at. It's pretty much like a playground without the swings and slides. PROS: Safe place for little kids, some farm animals, small garden CONS: Not a big place

They also have puppet shows, animals and this pirate ship that you can climb all around on. It was such a fun place for me as a kid.

The most magical, fun place for kids. I went there as a child and this place is still just as fun and relevant to my kids as it was to me. And so little has changed! Of particular note are the crooked mile (my kids are prone to running it, which is problematic, because it's elevated), the slide in the tree, and Mr. McGregor's Garden. Their Halloween trick or treat event is unparalleled .. it's an annual tradition for us!

There's a giant shoe slide based on The Old Lady Who Lived in a Shoe, Cinderella's coach, a barnyard and petting zoo, the Crooked Mile, puppet shows and more. This is probably best for children ages 18 months to 6 years.

Fairytale town is one of the best place to take your little kids. They have so many amusing things to do there from sliding down the red show or sitting on mothergooses lap. This place allows children imagination to grow by creating a place that comes out of a fairytale. Admission isnt too bad its about 5 bucks or less and free if you have a membership. Great place to take your kids! They always hold special events like safe and super halloween for kids. Overall, id recommend taking your kids here.
