The Beat has a huge selection of mucho music! They have lots of finds for an old crusty punk like myself. Lots of vinyl for those who want the authentic experience. Plenty of used stuff that you can't find anywhere else. Plenty of new stuff too, and they can custom order almost anything. Prices and staff are good.

The Beat is a fabulous find. They carry a large selection of used cds and tapes, and have a decent selection of vinyl too. The prices on their used stuff is usually really good. They also have a large selection of new items, I've found their prices on new stuff to usually be more than the chain stores, but I'd rather support a local business. The staff is helpful, and you can order things you can't find in the store. Parking is on the side of the building and is actually pretty good for downtown!

A great independent music store. They carry a variety of musical selection. I go there mostly for punk/rock music. They sell both used and new cds and records and reasonable price, but not as cheap as department stores like Target and Walmart. One cool thing about the Beat is that they also sell concert tickets to mostly punk/rock shows, which will save a lot of money in comparison to buying tickets online.

The Beat is located down where there is limited parking….you may have to park in one of the garages and walk there or if you’re lucky, you might be able to park on the street. The store is nicely organized with friendly and helpful employees. You can find a selection of older as well as new CD’s. If you’re looking for vinyl records, there’s a selection of those too. This is a popular place for the younger generations.

The Beat is a great place in Sacramento to get all kinds of music, especially cds of local bands and cds that you might not be able to find at the more mainstream stores. The Beat has a very laid back atmosphere and the staff is very knowledgable about all kinds of music and are eager to help you find what you need or to suggest a new recommendation. They buy and sell music, so bring in your old cds to swap for credit towards some new ones.

The Beat music store is convieniently located in downtown Sacramento and is capable of taking care of your music needs.
The Beat deals with both new and used records, cd's and tapes. Many of the local DJ's shop at the Beat because you can find the old gem of a record that got ruined for an incredible price. Vinyl is the specialty here and they can order or try and track down a record you need if for some reason they do not have it in stock.
The staff here is also very nice and are not only employees at a music store, but are also music lovers themselves. Everytime I shop here I feel that I am dealing with a true professional in their field when I seek advice. The prices here are very reasonable and the expertise and variety are unbeatable.
