Dimple is a great resource for used, indie, hard to find as well as new music. They have a good trade in program as well as a frequent shoppers deal. They also sell concert tickets to places like The Boardwalk, so you can avoid those convience charges. They have live shows sometimes too. Parking and prices are all good!

The Beat has a huge selection of mucho music! They have lots of finds for an old crusty punk like myself. Lots of vinyl for those who want the authentic experience. Plenty of used stuff that you can't find anywhere else. Plenty of new stuff too, and they can custom order almost anything. Prices and staff are good.

The employees are very friendly and knowledgable so its great store for families to have a great outing. All of the prices are very reasonable for a nice hobby for families to enjoy together.

When people think about Tower Records many that don't live in Sacramento don't realize that it started in Sacramento. I love Tower Records as its a small Records Store but then blossomed to a large company. They have such a great selection of cd's, and dvd's. But also they have a great staff that is very knowledgable about the products available. Also the staff is very eclectic in there musicial tastes so they are easy to ask questions to. Also there is a large selection of local cd's.

I have personally bought two of my guitars at this location, as they have had the best sales. The location is very large and spacious easy to wander around to look for products and try them out. As there's Amplifiers set up for customers to try out Electric Guitars and also with Electric Basses.. But also there is a large Acoustic area with cushioned seating for customers to try out Acoustic Guitars and Basses.

Inside the Virgin Megastore is a great value for anyone that loves music and also movies. As I purchase a lot of dvd's and cd's often there are multiples sales where it helps cut the costs of the cd's and the dvd's. Also there are large sections of Anime and also of Music Concerts as a lot of stores might not carry.

If your into playing pool like I am this is a great place. They have pool tables that you can rent or buy. You can also sell any billiard related items as well. I never have but I know you can. The staff is friendly and helpful. The store is big and there is plenty of parking.

I use to go here all the time long ago. I stopped. As I write this review I guess it was because the parking is not easy. There is only one way in and one way out. The parking is limited.
I like to go in and out fast. It just doesn't happen.
However, I really liked their selection -- expansive. Sometimes, it felt endless.
Tower has the hard-to-find or expensive-to-buy movies for rent. This is good if you are looking for something specific and not usual.
