Waterworld is a great place to have fun but can be expensive. Admission is about $20 per person and that doesn’t include parking, tube rentals, and food among other things. I would recommend that you get your hand stamped and get some food outside, or even eat before you go. Sacramento can get hot in a hurry why not cool yourself off at the waterpark? They have a number of water rides and slides to offer. My personal favorite is the lazy river where you can find a tube and just daze away as the river takes you around. This place is great for family and friends; I highly recommend!

I have personally been a fan of Shelley Burns and Avalon Swing for the past 5 years going on 6 years. The band is composed of of a five piece ensemble with at times adding the sixth member depending on the performance. Avalon Swing has a mixture of traditional jazz, swing, some showtunes, but of course the comedic timing inbetween songs that shows the wonderful interaction of the band. With the great vocal stylings and total charmer of the audience of Shelley Burns the lead singer of the band. With the backing musicians: Bill Dendle, Tom Phillips, Shelley Denny , Daryl Van Druff, and the ocassional appearance of Otis Mourning. Be sure to check out the website for CD's available for sale and calendar of events.

When first walking into the Music Circus you think you've actually entered a circus. The stage is in the middle and the seats surround it. The action takes place in the middle and there are four aisles that are used with clever ease. The action is seamless with the band under the stage and the stage itself shifting and moving to create wonderful ambiance. The actors with most assuredly run by you an you'll feel as if you're right there with them. With talented people and fantastic shows the Music Circus is a great place to attend. The tickets are expensive and they go fast, and be sure to eat before you go, because everything is expensive there.

This seems like the perfect store for Generation X or Generation Y customers. The ambiance can best be described as Warehouse. But don't let that deter you. This store has a huge selection of new and used music, as well as videos and video games. They also carry counter-cultural items, from magazines to novelties to head-shop items (behind the glass case). The used music has an impressive variety, but sometimes it's too impressive. A lot of the odder CDs will get lumped into one big bin at the end of the section, which makes it hard to find things.

I have been a loyal customer and student at Skips Music in Sacramento for the past 6 years. Its a great location and has been historic in the music scene in the Sacramento area. The employees are very knowledgeable about the products available. There is a superb repair department that takes care of the instruments and is very inexpensive but great quality.

Tower Records is a good place to buy books and CDs without the manufactured atmosphere of most other stores. But, the thing I liked the most about Tower Records is the accompanying restaurant next to the Tower Theatre near Downtown Sacramento. Their cake is wonderful and delicious for a reasonable price! The Tower Theatre is also a historic landmark in Sacramento.

The location is small but has a great theatre program where the staff is very experienced in theatre , singing and dance. The prices of the tickets of the performances are very inexpensive which is perfect for students that have a theatre requirement for a term paper. They have a great selection of plays, musicials, but also of cultural pieces.

I have personally bought two of my guitars at this location, as they have had the best sales. The location is very large and spacious easy to wander around to look for products and try them out. As there's Amplifiers set up for customers to try out Electric Guitars and also with Electric Basses.. But also there is a large Acoustic area with cushioned seating for customers to try out Acoustic Guitars and Basses.

Each Fall people in the Sacramento area can have a piece of the Great Broadway Shows in Downtown Sacramento. There is usually 4-5 shows each fall to each spring. These shows are very economical in comparision to going to NYC or SF. And its the ability to see some of the shows that some theatre goers might not be able to see unless flying to a mjaor city that might have the show playing. My personal favorite this year was Lion King, which was a great family oriented show where the young kids could feel very comfortable and be excited about the Performing Arts.

As I purchase a lot of dvd's and cd's often there are multiples sales where it helps cut the costs of the cd's and the dvd's. Also there are large sections of Anime and also of Music Concerts as a lot of stores might not carry.
