I grew up with the YMCA. It was a blast. I learned to swim, make friends and help other people.
Today, they have an excellent sports programs for kids. And I hear a wonderful summer camp for kids during the weekdays from 7:30 to 6:00.
You can see the work out room from 21st and W Streets as you drive down the street.
The pool is inside and enormous. I learned to swim here as a child and the high dive was the first one I jumped off.

I attended a fundraiser here not to long ago. The facility was perfect for the show. It was a one man show that worked great with lighting, sound and seating very comfortable.
I have worked in this theater before. Back stage is tight but it is not noticeable to the audience and the seating is about 250, but I am guessing.
If you are doing a fundraiser at this theater there are break out rooms and bathrooms aplenty for a reception.
Parking is a little tough but not to bad once you now where to park.

Ben Franklin would have been proud of this library because it is set up so simply. The children's section down stairs is large and plenty of space for the kids to enjoy themselves and play.
The elevators take you right to the reference section with a wonderful newspaper and magazine section that covers quite a time span. I have used it a couple of times for research; it has never failed me.
The staff truly love to help not imagining that they can find the information you need for a particular project you are researching.

I love this white building; it appears to be winding around. But, once inside I was disappointed because of the lay out. Not easy, not roomy, crowed and bunched up feeling.
Funny thing is that the building is white and pure on the outside but once you get inside it feels dark and gloomy.
I did find what I was looking for regarding film and plays for children to perform, so all is not that bad.
Parking is available but not a lot and the lot can get crowded as well.

I went to a meeting at this library after hours and found it to be very spacious room. Everyone sat in a circle about twenty of us, so we all could be heard.
Each personality and each person's point could be clearly heard and understood. I brought my daughter with me and she behave well because the room was so much fun.
Just a tip: All the Sacramento Libraries offer meeting room or community rooms, which are available to the public.

The woman who runs the children's programs at this library is fantastic, uplifting and great with kids. She is a very positive woman.
I took my daughter to her pre-school storytelling program and my daughter loved it. Now she goes to her 5 year old to 12 year old programs, which are great.
The library is near a park, so my daughter and I will either go to the park first then the library or the library and then the park where she meets other children and plays.
However, there are no bathrooms in the park. The library has bathrooms; so if you got to the park when the library is closed, well...there are some big trees at the park.
