My husband and I visited the California Cafe in Arden Fair mall for dinner a couple nights ago. We were seated upon arrival by a smiling hostess. Our server was polite and knowledgeable. She suggested a great Double T Meritage wine to go with our Filet Mignon and Short Ribs. Both entrees were delicious and beautifully presented. For dessert we ordered the homemade apple pie and espressos. The apple pie was better than my mom's (and that's good!). The espressos were a fine ending to our meal. Our table was quiet and romantic. The dining room was quaint and relaxing. We would definetly come back again for a business lunch or a romantic dinner. The bar seating was full and looked very social.

I loved that place. food is great, drinks are yammy, service is pleasant. so much better than portland brewery. this one is more like an upper restaurant, with really reasonable prices, and everything tastes good. if you like brews, you should try it!!!

We had our wedding restaurant at this location over a year ago, and I am still hearing how beautiful the site was, how great the food was, and how attentive the staff was. It's one of the more expensive wedding venues in Sacramento, but well worth the money, in my opinion. They went out of their way to arrange all of our special requests for the day.

I have been personally a loyal customer at Skips for the last 8 years, I like the large selection of equipment. The staff is very knowledgeable about the instruments, and will help the customers. A great selection of Guitar and Bass Pedals where the customer can try out the pedals before purchasing. The educational program is top notch, I have been a part of it for 7 years and I continue to learn more and more everyday. This is the best music store in town!

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Sacramento. I live in another city, but I frequently crave their Orange Chicken. It is sensational. The service at the restaurant is good and the restaurant itself is nicely decorated and well-presented, however their food makes great takeout. Grab a DVD at Blockbuster down the way and tuck in!

Had a taste of this authentic mexican cuisine at my girlfriends 40th birthday surprise. There were no left over's. The food was devine, everyone had seconds, then thirds. The salsa was just the right amount of heat too! I will have them cater my next event without hesitation!

My husband and I were married at the Sterling Hotel in February and also stayed in the Huntington Suite that night. I cannot express how wonderful the ENTIRE staff was to us! From the wedding coordinators to the front desk to the waitstaff--everything was like a dream come true. The morning of my wedding, waitstaff ordered champagne up to my room and that night, we forgot to pack toothpaste and the front desk went to fetch some and bring it to us!!!
I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. If you are thinking of having your wedding here or even just staying for a night or two, we highly recommend The Sterling.
