If your just out driving or need some fresh, healthy food for your house, stop at Flo's.
She stocks locally produced milk, ice cream, cheese, beef, turkey pies, baked goods, pickles & relishes, crafts and more. During the summer she also has fresh vegtables. (I've gotten some that were so fresh they were still warm from the sun.)
You can get a hot dog, ice cream cone, frappe or soda and sit at the picnic tables that have a great view of the surrounding countryside. Fabulous in the fall.
Beside the food you can buy mulch, compost and firewood.
This is a great way to support the local farm community and really enjoy yourself at the same time.

This place is great for the family with small kids. They have all sorts of animals to visit, farm fresh milk and ice cream, baked goods, beef, eggs, vegetables, and Christmas trees at Christmas time.
They have winter and summer hours and offer tours and field trips. My son went with his pre-school class and had a blast, although he is a bit sensitive to the farm smell. They are located up on a hill so it can get windy and cold. This town is growing, but there are a number of farms and businesses like this that really are the heart of Rutland. I definitely recommend them for a day of fun with the kids.
