What a wonderful repast at Aqua Blue – we belatedly (due to my health challenges) celebrated our Anniversary there last evening, and couldn’t have been more pleased with the delicious food, and the terrific service!
I chose the Calamari appetizer – superbly tender with sweet chili sauce = yum! For main dish, every bite of the Lobster Ravioli was a scrumptious experience…. real lobster chunks were cradled in delectable home made, melt in your mouth ravioli, swimming in a luscious cream sauce, which the fabulous chef was kind enough to modify to exclude ‘shrooms & fennel (dietary limitations) for me!
My finicky hubby raved about the shrimp spring rolls – I actually could see the shrimp bulging out from across the table! He also appreciated the trout, with both baked potato & fries. Even the bread selections were delectable – especially the focaccia & corn breads.
The service was exceptional – Meghan was a dear – they should ‘clone’ her - she produced a lovely surprise for our anniversary! Even tho I thought I’d explode if I took another bite (she graciously had previously boxed up half of both my appetizer & entre), I just had to sample the molten chocolate cake with touch of crème freche & strawberry, and my hubby appreciated the ice cream compliment. A fitting topping to our fantastic evening.
It certainly was worth every mile (we live up in the north GA Mountains), the three month wait to celebrate, and every penny! We can’t wait to come back for another go, and we discussed which sets of our guests we’ll want to treat to this marvelous feast soon!
Pros: Great Chef, Teriffic Service, Incredible Cuisine
Cons: a bit nosy on Thurs - singles night

My husband and I were visiting from Savannah a few weeks ago and came here with friends. It was really great. We were seated right away and had a wonderfully cozy and intimate seating area. No yelling across the table required. The food was awesome; never before had I seen or imagined fried green beans but they were wonderful and the highlight was the sushi. Beautifully prepared and gobbled up quickly. The service was also very good, never waiting or looking for help but also not hovering or interrupting. I am sure we will be returning here on our next visit to the ATL.

We recently had friends in town and were looking for the perfect spot that has everything- great sushi, entertainment, drinks and something for my "allergic to seafood' friend. We found the PERFECT PLACE- Aqua Blue in Roswell (off Holcomb Bridge/GA 400). From the outside it looked crowded, but as soon as we walked in- we were seated right away (we did make reservations). The service was incredible from start to finish. Adam was our server- he was always there when we needed him and was very knowledgable about the specials and how each menu item was prepared. We started with an appetizer trio that is very unique -& so incredible (calamari, a barbeque that is to die for and fried green beans with a special dipping sauce). Our friends raved about all three items. The mixed drinks and our bottle of wine was fantastic, but the main courses were the highlight. Between the four of us, we had the gorgonzola filet, the sea bass (which I highly recommend) and 2 orders of the BEST SUSHI you can get in Atlanta. Each of the managers came to our table to make sure everything was perfect. We will definately be back. The atmosphere is great for couples, friends, office parties, and even families (we took our kids there as well and they loved it). If you want to impress friends from out of town, this was the place to go.
Pros: Sushi, Every Food on the Menu, Ambience and Service
Cons: none

Great, versatile menu. Very upscale place that draws a more mature crowd. Everything from Steaks to Pasta to Sushi...never had a bad meal there! Excellent wine list too.

Aqua Blue is one of my favorite restaurants in Alpharetta. They have a pretty good menu selection and probably the best fried calamari in town. Highly Recommended!

After paying too much to dine at one of the lackluster restaurants in "Old Roswell", my girlfriend and I stopped by Aqua Blue for a casual drink and conversation in what I consider to be the most "downtown chic" environment, rising head and shoulders above the strip mall mentality that prevails Outside The Perimeter. Our bartender was very attentive and made us two of the most perfect Extra Dirty Martinis I've ever had. Not only were they delicious but they came in a martini glass that could have doubled as a fish bowl! We drank one each and were feeling absolutely no pain. My girlfriend begged, in a vodka induced slur, that she absolutely had to have another. I counceled against it but calmer, I should say sober, heads did not prevail. We had a great time. Great service and felt like we'd been downtown even though we never left the "burbs". Our hangovers the next day are the stuff of legend and I haven't seen my girl touch vodka since, but I applaud Aqua Blue for a job very well done! They also have awesome sushi!!!
Pros: beautiful and chic in a way that defies suburban eateries!!!
Cons: thursday nights are crowded with wealthy ancients fishing for silicone enhanced princesses
