My wife and I went there hoping to find a great place close to home and we were not wowed. It wasn't terrible food, but we both agreed we've had better. The salsa was good and the prices were reasonable, but my wife had a bad stomach ache once we got home. We'll explore other places before we go back there. Carmelitas is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the greater Sacramento area. I always order the same dish - a beef chimichanga, no guacamole, with rice on the side. If you're looking for Mexican food that is a bit more authentic than Taco Bell or Jimboy's, then Carmelitas is a great alternative. It's a little expensive, I warn you, but very tasty. Try the margaritas, too.

The help is verry courtious and friendly. The prices are fair. Its just a allaround good place to take the entire family. Try it you will like it.
