Washington Carpets is probably one of the biggest carpet and rug stores in Rome. They used to be in the Riverbend Mall a ton of years ago, and now have this bigger and far better store. The owners are super nice and the prices are reasonable. I always go there when I want those small little rugs for the kitchen or the RV. They always last a long time and are very durable and rugged. They will help you decide what should be the right rug or carpet for your location and point you to the choices they have for you. For a great start to your rug buying needs, this is the place that will help you out the most. If you can't find it here, it probably isn't in Rome!

We found this place when shopping for a bed for our daughter who was ready to move out of the crib. KidzLoft carries quality children's bedroom furniture, unique children's gifts, and custom-ordered children's bedding. The business is located inside of Mattress Direct, which makes it convenient to select mattresses, too. Pam is a delight to work with. We have since gone back for a baby crib, toddler bed and outdoor play cabin. They truly offer exceptional service.

This is a very nice store. They can order all kinds of papergoods and stationary to suit your every need. They sell gifts and party goods. They have a great , but small, selection of jewelry and handbags. They sell Wilton cake decorating products and candy molds. They have all kinds of party good. The owners are extremely nice and always around to help. They even gift wrap! Check them out the next time you are on that side of town!

What a pretty little cottage looking store! This store is so inviting from the outside that you just have to go inside! Once inside the aroma of the flowers and the sheer beauty takes over your senses. This florist always send out quality products. I never have to worry if they are going to send a nice arrangement or not...they always do. Their prices are average and they have a nice selection. They always offer wonderful suggestions. If you are in need of flowers for any occassion, you should call them or go by.

If you are in the market for a mattress then you need to look here. They are the actual manufacturer. They have all types and grades of mattresses that you can purchase and they are much less than you get at typical retail stores. I have had my mattress for 3 years and I have been extremely happy. They even sell other kinds of furniture now. Their prices are very good. I would start my furniture search here first. This is the only place that I would go for a mattress.

If you are in the market for new appliances, then you should check out Allen Murphy's. They have a great selection and are usually much cheaper than the bigger stores in town. A lot of times you can even get a discount on a scratch and dent model. They offer free delivery and they have an in house repairman. They have top of the line appliances at really good prices. Their sales staff is extremely nice. I highly recommend them and I always look their first for my appliances.

PRC Grading is run by one man, Paul Casey. He is great at providing affordable good contractor work in a reasonable time frame. He is personable and works with the home owner to get exactly what they want completed. He's done landscape grading, he hauls in dirt, sand, mulch, rock, etc., and he can build driveways and the like. Getting a pool? Let him build you up a great sand base so that it sits level. Want that circle drive around your place, let him both build up the pad and install the drive itself.

This store is so friendly and helpful. I used to go there to get my cross stitch items fixed. They are reasonably priced, have a wide variety, and are so very helpful that it will keep you coming back for more. If you need any time of framing or matting done, especially holiday items, I highly recommend this place.
Pros: fast, great selection, good prices
Cons: none that I know of!
